But the current war is not about the West Bank.

Wayllll, Gaza was palestinian, according to the UN partition in 1947-8. And Israel maintains a military right to seal its borders and keep aide at a level guaranteeing poverty, and even malnutrition of children. But yeah, the PLO (arafat) turned down the best peace offer the Palestinians will ever get.

But the problem is now. The two-state peace deal is dead, and Jesus ain't around to bring it back to life. There is not going to be any Jewish/Israeli investment in a Pale state, and no jobs.

However, I do not believe there was any plan to have a joint state where Israelis and Palestinians live together in the same country, only 2 separate states, or more or less something resembling that (Bosnia comes mind).

It would have been a great idea, but too much hate from both sides has been sown to make this possible at the present time.

The idea for Israel was to make a national Jewish state, in my opinion very outdated and coming from a 1920s/1930s European national state perspective.

It was called the Mandate for Palestine. Aka, Israel.

But in 1922 the British changed their mind only with that Mandate and not with Iraq, and gave 78% of it to a newly arrived Arab clan from Arabia which had been kicked out. They gave TransJordan to the Hashemites who went on to attack all Jews who lived in TransJordan for centuries and since Judaism existed, and expelled the rest. Which is why Jordan does not have or allow Jews to live there. Nothing more than a copycat of what Mohammad did to the three Jewish tribes who lived in Arabia in the 7th Century.


The idea to rebuild the Jewish Nation ON the ancient Jewish homeland came from Jews continuing to be persecuted and massacred in Europe and the ME. And the Jews had enough of it.

If one looks at the History of Antisemitism, or Judeophobia as it was called until the 19th century, one can see what the Jews had to endure from both Christians and Muslims who believed what was written about the Jews.


Today, many still believe those things, which is why so many cannot support the existence of Israel and believe all which the Arabs say about Israel and the Palestinians.
