But for the company to leave, they had to keep the engineering department going for 20 years over there. So the product line is being manufactured here, but the engineers supporting that product line are in Germany.

In this country, they would just close down and it would be gone.

My friend's mother recently died from multiple myeloma, no surgery, just radiation, chemo, physical therapy, hospitalization, office visits, testing for the last six months. Total billed: $384,000. Really now. In 2003 Bush passed a new law that forbade any VA care to veterans who made more than $35 a year and had never accessed their VA care after retiring from service. He was making way for the wave of 40,000 of so who got their limbs blasted off in his vanity war. And those people still got fucked. Please, blow your smoke somewhere else.

Do you know how insurance works?

I know I got a colonoscopy a couple of weeks ago and without health insurance, I wouldn't have been able to pay for it.
I had surgery on my nose from a fight I won and I know without health insurance I wouldn't have been able to pay for it.
I had a hernia operation and without health insurance it would still be bulging.
I had pneumonia and without health insurance I wouldn't have been able to go into the hospital for help.

So even if I didn't know how it works, I do know what would have happened if I didn't have it.
Is there anyone who believes that a "healthcare savings account" would have paid for all that?
