What Will You Be Doing On Election Day?

Instead of sitting around here sniping at each other over every little exit poll or state result, why not volunteer, in your county or jurisdiction, to be a Poll Worker? Most places are in dire need of them.

Become a Poll Worker

I'm in Ohio, and I will be driving people who need rides to the polls to vote. I will be voting in advance so I won't have to worry about standing in line on election day.

I did that one year. I do like voting on election day though, it feels so patriotic, :)

Did that once in 1980. Frankly, I just can't sit around and do not much of anything for 12 hours.

You wouldn't be doing nothing during a Presidential Election. C'mon Joe...do it!!!

I'm voting next Tuesday at work. I love my job :D

I've already blown off most of my vacation days working up at my Wisconsin Place this year...

As Chicago Cub fans say, "Maybe next year."

Besides, at this point, I'm not sure if can really be a Republican or Democratic judge, I think I've pissed everyone off at this point.

Ah yes, the "even build" rule. I forgot that some states require partisanship on their precinct boards. Of course, you don't actually have to prove you support the party you're registered with :D

Actually, all the judges are party activists/regulars. That's how I got the job back in the day when I was a regular republican (before the religous loons hijacked the party.)

Yikes. I'm glad we don't deal with that here. That would add a layer that just doesn't need to be added. We stress the non-partisan nature of our Poll Workers jobs. When you serve as Poll Worker, you check your party at the door and are there to serve the voters, period.

Same thing we do every night Pinky, try to take over the world and establish a Socialist Nazi Communist Atheist Muslim Dictatorship.
