What's wrong with the GOP? Vote on Supreme Court Justice

It's interesting that nobody here has backed up with the GOP congress is saying all over the airwaves... "The people should make this choice". Between that and the bogus Biden argument, they are just sounding like dishonest idiots

Because what the Republicans in Congress want to do is nullify all the votes in the 2012 Presidential election that they don't like, and substitute a future vote instead. So the Democrats should simply adopt this idea and nullify any vote a Republican casts or a Republican Congressman casts.

Everyone should be happy then because both sides will be doing things equally. Cons could careless about this slippery slope, they have already figured out the Constitution now works against them.

Then the Democrats should simply deny every Republican president, if there ever is one again, appointing anyone to the Supreme Court. I say give the Republicans what they appear to want. Shut all Republicans down starting today and never let them appoint anyone.

There you go, all equal now.

Not in a presidential election year no. And yes that goes for both parties. If the Hildebeast wins, let her put Garland then. Also quit trying to pass Garland off as a moderate. He is a liberal like the other 4 libs on the court now.

Sorry, a president is not elected for 3 years. I've already contacted all Democrat Congressmen and Senators and told them that if a Republican is elected president in November, do not approve anyone they put forth. Not for 4 years, for as long as it takes to get the election results you want.

That is what the Republicans are doing, I say cram that shit back down their throats with horse radish on it.

I have yet to hear a non-political non-BS reason for the GOP's hold out from meeting and voting on a Supreme Court Nominee. If there was a president Trump and the same situation presented itself in 4 years is there any doubt that they would flip a 180 and support a vote for the nominee??

If the GOP doesn't like the nominated justice then they can simply vote NO. The gridlock is ridiculous and the source for much frustration from Americans... Why can't they just do their jobs?
I know this is tough for a liberal to understand but,
See, the GOP right now is doing their job to block any more liberal picked socialist pieces of shit that obama the American hating trader tries to nominate. The GOPs constituents don't want his nominations seated for life. They would rather have real Constitutional loving Americans take the seats.
Now, another thing that's hard for you to understand is that the right does not work for the lefts pissants any more than the lefts Muslim loving congress men and senators work for the Americans.
I hope this helped clear things up.
Oh, and if they do allow another liberal piece of shit take a seat on the court, they can expect to lose their own seat.

Funny thing about that is that the next President will be able to force his nomination through.

Give it a freaking chance. Hussein only nominated him the day before yesterday. On the surface it seems that the judge might be a moderate but rumors persist that he holds unconstitutional personal bias against the 2nd Amendment. Let it play out.
I hope it plays out and congress does their job. I've been shaking my head for weeks at this posturing by the GOP to not even consider a nominee. It blows my mind and I still haven't heard a sensible justification.
GOP is following the Biden rule. We have video with Joe's explanation.
Furthermore...

Here are the FACTS from JUNE 1992:
1. There were no Supreme Court vacancies.
2. Clinton had just won the nomination to take on Bush.
3. There was talk about getting an older justice to retire so Bush could appoint a new one before he was out of office.
4. Bush was running for reelection, which would have intertwined this whole process right in the middle of the election.
5. Bidden's statement was under these circumstances, and it's pretty obvious he was trying to avoid the political manipulation of the appointment of a SC justice in the middle of an election.

Prove me wrong.
It's apples and oranges. How stupid does the GOP think we are using this as a talking point?

In other words, do as the Democrats say, not as they do. got it. Also Obama and the media are trying to pass Garland off as a 'centrist'. He's not, he is just like the other 4 liberals on the USSC. BO as usual is being more than a bit inaccurate.
Who the judge is makes no difference... They should vote.

Why? everyone knows what the outcome will be, why waste the time? congress has much more important issues to deal with than this partisan BS

Obama will be denied the opportunity to put another justice on the SCOTUS, he could nominate God and it will be request denied, out of spite!
I agree, spite is the purpose behind the stand off... Not this "Leave it up to the people" BS. This attitude is whats spinning our government down the drain.

The word you are searching for is 'consequences' as in, Obama behaves like an ass for the last 7 years and now there are consequences. :eusa_boohoo:
Good i guess we can all just be children then and respond in kind... There was a time when good strong people showed character and leadership by holding themselves to a higher standard then their competition. I guess thats not a game the GOP wants or is capable of playing. Question though, how do they think this is going to help repair this partisan divide that is crippling the progress of our government?

Who's supposed to set the example to follow, yes Obama. Case closed.
If you hate Obama so much then why would you support your party to act in kind? By doing that theres nothing that differentiates you from him

Hate is the liberals game, I'm fine with revenge though.

The consequences will be hillary and dem congress selecting the next Justice.

And then your high wore off and you awoke to President Trump.

So then why do you have your undies in a wad about it?

I think moderates are better for the country. You morons setting us up for a raging liberal.

This is going to be difficult, so sit here and let me explain this to you. You are ... a raging liberal. Note you and they vote the same way. Sorry man, but someone had to let you know

Really? Who have in voted for? Do you ever not talk out of your ass?

Yes clearing you are not raging /sarcasm

They would be utterly stupid to do so,

Maybe Obama can filibuster the nomination? He's done it before....

Tissue?

You're making up all this shit that Biden didn't say. He put no conditions on it, he said no Republican should be submitted and if one is the Democrats wouldn't vote on it

What he said in June of 1992 was to hold hearings and a vote after the November election.

What we have now is the Senate Leadership saying take NO ACTION until a new President is elected.

They are not the exact same thing.

But Obama didn't nominate god, he nominated Merrick Garland, a radical left activist with utter contempt for the Constitution and the rule of law.

. Its not a rumor. He prevented DC residents from owning guns and had to be overruled by the Supreme Court he wants to sit on. Ain't no fucken way a liberal will replace the greatest conservative Jurist ever to hold the position.

Please cite the case.

And it better not be Heller because Judge Garland was not on the 3 Judge panel that ruled in Heller. 2nd the Appeals Court overruled the Distruct Court and the SCOTUS affirmed that decision.

You keep giving away your tissues and you wont have any left for yourself when President Trump takes office. And don't forget, the free stuff is going to stop flowing so you might actually have to get a job to get money to buy your own tissues.
Im only pointing this out because I care.

The fool may as well play with lego's the next few months while we replace him.
