Reverend Jim Jones was the darling of the socialist movement based in California during the 70's. He is photographed with Jerry Brown and just about every other liberal politician at the time. The liberal establishment even awarded Rev. Jones the prestigious MLK award for his brilliant race based outreach program. Jones is even credited with using his political muscle to get at least one democrat elected mayor of San Francisco. Even though Jones showed signs of mental illness the liberal left supported his brand of socialism and the concept of the "people's paradise" in Guyana. How did that work out?
