How can ANYONE rationalize these two positions??? How can you condemn Trump while COMPLETELY excusing Hillary and expect ANYONE to take you seriously?

Trump is using the power of the Presidency for personal gain.

Hillary used the FBI and the Justice Departments to help give credence to the smear job that she paid Glenn Simpson to cook up at Fusion GPS! High ranking officials in the Obama Administration knew about how she was paying for those phony "dossiers" to be put out by Richard Steele. High ranking Democrats continued that attempt at a smear job even after it had been exposed!

How has Trump gotten "personal gain" from asking for an investigation into Biden? That's a crock! You seem to buy into the argument that someone who's running for office shouldn't ever be investigated for things like influence peddling! Biden enriched his son by using the power of the Vice Presidency! Trump asking for an investigation into that isn't a bad thing for American democracy! It's the kind of thing that should happen when our officials abuse their office. They should be held to account by their successors.

All this stuff about Hillary being a "private citizen" sounds like spin to me. As if Hillary Clinton and the guy who collects my garbage every tuesday carries the same political influence.

It is not about influence, it is about what is right and wrong for the Fed Govt to do. Political parties spend millions (maybe billions) trying to find dirt on opponents, it is part of the game. Hell the Trump dossier was started by a Repub who was a rival of Trump's.

But that does not make it ok for the Fed Govt to do it for a candidate, the Govt is supposed to be neutral on such things.

Look at it this way, a HOA could legally put in their by-laws that political campaign signs are not allowed, but if the government came out and said you cannot put a political sign in your yard, that would not be legal or ok.
