When republicans complain about single moms getting food stamps, why don’t they consider the well-being of the child?

SpaceX has done no research. All of the commercial space travel companies have piggy-backed their rocket research and development onto the NASA programs, eliminating the most expensive and time consuming research of all.
WTF do you think is collecting the data dingbat?,

Go look after your grandkids if you're up to it..

Actually what I said is that you wouldn’t profit in that scenario I said and the same logic applies to single moms on food stamps. The benefits they are getting are pennies on the dollar in comparison to rent, food, daycare and clothing taken altogether. Why this basic logic escapes you is beyond my comprehension lol.

See now you’re just making shit up on the spot. You simply saying parents are lining up to adopt kids does not make it true. You’re just choosing to say that statement facts be damned. Like was I supposed to fall for that? You simply contradicting the fact I told you? Nope. Doesn’t work like that lol.
They are lining up to adopt newborns, jackass. Ask anyone who has tried to adopt one.

As I said, you're using an idiosyncratic definition of "profit." It's the one economists use. It's not the one people use in everyday conversation. I have seen many videos where they interviewed welfare mother, and when asked why they had a baby without being married, many said so they could have their own apartment and a government check.

How incredibly noble of you. But when is enough enough?

It's not complicated, let's not pretend it is, in order to have an excuse for not doing anything or what is required to resolve the problem. People should have at least the basics upon which they can build their lives. Hardly anyone wants to remain with the basics, so they will do something with their lives. Basic housing, healthcare, mental health treatment, drug counseling or/and rehab, vocational job training, and good case management by social workers to help these people. That's what we need to do to resolve this homeless problem. To do otherwise is to maintain the current condition, which is much more expensive than simply taking the aforementioned course of action. Housing, healthcare, counseling, job training..etc.

problem.

This has been attacked. The real means do not change.

Yeah ,we get it. The needs people were forced to work for for time immemorial was food, shelter and clothing. That's how mankind progressed. Now you want to add, and I quote, " healthcare, mental health treatment, drug counseling or/and rehab, vocational job training, and good case management by social workers to help these people".

Now explain to me why half the people on this planet, you included, would want to work.

Single moms having kids they can’t afford is an easy target. It makes a right winger feel superior by shitting on such a woman. It makes it easy to rail against the idea of food stamps altogether. Such a person judging feels superior because they aren’t on food stamps and have a full time job in comparison. Somebody should probably tell them that it is very common for anyone to have a full time job and not be on food stamps lol. Such people judging aren’t as special as they like to think they are. Food stamps is not the epidemic that republicans like to think it is. They simply pretend that it is because it makes them feel less insecure about themselves. The truth is that few actual able bodied adults are even on food stamps. The ones that are have dependents.

But sure, such irresponsible women do exist.

We can all agree: an impoverished woman should not have kids and she made a mistake when she had one. Okay sure. However, the kid still…. exists. What should we do with that kid? Should the kid suffer because of the mom’s mistakes? Probably not, right? Government assistance is required either way.

“SNAP targets those in greatest need. Among those participating in the program, most are children, elderly persons, or individuals with a disability. In fact, 86 percent of all SNAP benefits go to households that include a child, elderly person, or person with disabilities. In addition, about 92 percent of all SNAP benefits go to households with income at or below the federal poverty line.”
it's an 80 billion dollar a year bill. Im not sure I'd call that cheap.

Government is whatever we want it to be. It's indifference to the poor that creates homeless encampments, people sleeping on the sidewalk. We can quickly eliminate homelessness in America by recognizing that everyone has a right to at least, basic housing.
People choose to live in poverty

Doing a quick bit of research. 13% of SNAP recipients are 18- 49 (not sure why the cut off is 49 in the data) not disabled and no kids in the household. So you say hey that's not a ton only 13%. But 13% of 80 billion dollars is 10 billion dollars....

People choose to live in poverty

No one in their right mind chooses to be homeless, sleeping on the sidewalk. The circumstances of life, a crisis, can result in poverty or even being homeless. It can even happen to you and it's easier said than done to get out of that condition.

25% the homeless are mentally ill. 40% are drug addicts. Im sure there's some cross over but that still means over half are either crazy, addicts or both. They are choosing to one degree or another their crazy, their addiction or both over living what would be considered a "normal life".

Lol umm well newborns might be the most likely to be adopted, but that doesn’t mean the demand is nearly enough. Your fascist solution was to force any impoverished mother to give their kid up to adoption. Even if right now newborns could easily get adopted, there would be a tiny fraction in demand for just how many children we would be putting in the foster care system with your nightmare government oppressive solution.

If people's basic needs are met they will have a foundation upon which to build their lives. Most people aren't going to remain in basic housing, they're going to want to get a good job, to move to a better place. They can do that if they have that foundation, of basic housing, healthcare, education/vocational job training, and an employment guarantee in the public sector. It doesn't matter if you've been out of work for ten years and have a huge gap in your employment history. You can get a job with the local, state, or federal government, for a few years, then transition back into the private sector or start your own business.

There has to be a statute of limitations on social programs with no rules stringent on the ones who collect those benefits.
I agree, providing housing to people addicted to drugs who want to continue with their destructive behavior is stupid. There has to be a program in the housing unit for people like that. A strict, tough love program.

Oh, so what is your solution to lazy and immature?

Any able bodied adults on SNAP is definitely only getting peanuts. We are talking like $100 per month. To even qualify, their income would have to be close to nothing. Because this is based on income, it wouldn’t be accurate to take 13% of 80 billion.

Oh, so what is your solution to lazy and immature?

Some people are lazy and immature because they've never had much of an opportunity to do something productive with their lives and mature. People who are homeless, using drugs, should go through a "tough love" , life development program.
