Zone1 When SCOTUS Rules Against Favoritism Based on Race, the Impact will Go Beyond College Admissions

So what’s so terrible about Boston U if one doesn’t get into Harvard?
So what is so terrible about Harvard wanting a diverse student body?

Harvard used to be exclusively reserved for students from elite prep schools, children of alumni and those with connections.
It made for a student body that had the same life experiences, opinions and life skills.

Wingie---you changed the subject----but did use
the correct TENSE----"...used to be..."

The preference is for the best qualified, taking race or ethnicity out of the question. If that means that Harvard will be mostly whites, Jews and Asians, so be it. Blacks who meet the same standards will still be admitted, and the two out of three who are currently admitted because they are black and now will be rejected can just go to UMass or BostonU.
If that were true only the best would be in leadership positions which is not the case.

That is why Conservatives are taking it to the Supreme Court to demand that only those who come from the correct upbringing are provided a Harvard education.

Question
Why isn’t the Supreme Court looking at admission because of family connections, alumni, athletics or other back doors into Harvard?

Because using race to decide who gets in - and rejecting Asians on the grounds that “Asians are unlikeable” violates the law regarding discrimination.

You can still have people with different life experiences. You just can’t devise policies to reduce the number of Asians (or Jews, as was done in the 20s and 30s) due to racial or ethnic bias.

Besides, why are you assuming that the whites are the rich ones ans the blacks are all poor? YOU have some issues.

Huh? Wow! The case is about only “allowing in those with the proper upbringing”? Are you saying blacks don’t have the proper upbringing?

The case is about Harvard rejecting Asians because, they said, “Asians are unlikeable.” Harvard’s disgusting racism, which liberals support because it goes against Asians, will be stopped.
