Well, yes. Every state has a statute that allows a person to be taken into custody and undergo, normally 72 hours, of psychiatric evaluation. Yes, the medical diagnosis after that can and is used to deprive them of their guns.

If 29 complaints to law enforcement doesn't do it. Shooting at neighbor's animals doesn't do it, three complaints to the FBI and several to DCF doesn't ring a few bells then slicing himself up while talking about killing people then posting that mess on instagram should do something.
