Present homosexuals are currently fighting for equality in what seems a slow but achievable goal. And before that it was racial equality sexual and before that way back even various religions . As already correctly noted: no American should have to fight to realize his comprehensive civil rights.

Unfortunately there are many on the ignorant, fearful, reactionary right hostile to change, diversity, dissent, and expressions of individual liberty who will seek to disadvantage those whom they fear through force of law.

The next likely target of rightwing fear and hate will be transgender Americans, who will be forced to fight for their right to choice and individual liberty in the courts, just as gay Americans were compelled to do.

What's troubling, of course, is that African-Americans, Hispanics, and women remain in a constant struggle to retain the civil rights they fought hard to realize, always defending their rights from attack by social conservatives and others on the right hostile to minority voting rights and the privacy rights of women.

If you won't "be enslaved to government", why would your policies enslave the working poor to corporations?

You can stand up, flip a corporation the bird and walk out of any corporation anytime you wish and they can't do jack shit about it. Try that with a government tax or regulation and you get arrested, sent to prison, and they confiscate your wealth.
