Is there any question that Wallace was the most professional of the moderators? He's the same way when he questions guests on Fox. He may personally lean towards conservatism but if you're a conservative being interviewed by him and he thinks you're avoiding answering a question, Wallace will not hesitate to go after you until he gets an answer.

I think Chris Wallace wins on this one. If he had a personal preference over who the next president would be, he did an excellent job of keeping it to himself. There is no way anyone regardless of their candidate choice can fault him for the way he conducted himself.

I'm sure this will be pretty partisan, but I'll give it a try anyhow. Which Moderator(s) were the best based on performance, professionalism, control, type of questions and being unbiased.

As you might expect, I think Chris Wallace did the best job of the three debates.

Surprisingly its unanimous at this point.

so basically, he did the job in a manner that it should be done.
I think it took both hillary and Donald off guard to be honest.

I don't think any of the moderators failed this year. The debate with Wallace was probably the most substantive and he helped moved the debate along.

Anderson Cooper was pretty fair in the second debate. He did have his biased moments though.
He got a bit on my nerves First off he wouldnt let up with the questions about the comments Trump had made, he wasted the first 15 minutes of the debate hounding Trump about it.
Then, if Trump ran over time, he was quick to jump in and shut Trump up, yet when hillary ran over time, she was allowed to keep going until he completed what she had to say.
He also interrupted Donald more than once when it was Donalds turn to talk, this took away Donalds chance to say what he wanted.
I think he was a very poor moderator. I have no question about who he is voting for.

I agree. Wallace didn't jump into the debate and attack the way the others did. First two debates were jokes. Trump getting more than a dozen tough questions and they hammered him while tossing Hillary a few softball questions that she had prepared answers for.

Plus he didn't give the questions to Trump ahead of time.:badgrin::badgrin: For a few of the questions, it almost seemed like he was on Hillary's side since he stopped Trump from talking many times.

I think Wallace did the best job, too. I'm happy to blow your theory that the choices will be partisan.
Your post is refreshing.
Two more libs have agreed with me. We're always refreshing. :)
Old Lady, I wouldn't go that far. You should have left the compliment stand without comment. The words "always" and "never" are dead giveaways to partisanship.
It was a joke, Jackson.

Speaking of fair and balanced, Wallace, too, let Hillary wiggle out of pay-for-play questions on the Clinton Foundation. I think he did it for time reasons. Maybe the debate format should be altered to allow a more in depth discussion or something. They always seem rushed just when they get to something important.

I really think that a moderator could ask one question, get up and go to the cafeteria for about 15 minutes. Lester seemed to allow the candidates to go at each other longer than the other moderators.

Megan Kelly wins as best moderator. She went from a barely known FOX talking head to a nationally known, recognized, and respected journalist.

I don't know about that. She lost my interest when she cut off all her hair.:badgrin::badgrin:

I have some really cute 20 year old girls that like to come over and hang with me that have really short hair.
Short hair can look good on some women. Besides, I have come to find that when hanging around women, or anyone for that matter, its more who they are than what they look like that grabs my attention. (not that really cute hurts mind you)

Agreed, and some women look better with glasses on than without. It depends on the person.

But Kelly was much more attractive with longer hair. It's just like that actress on The Big Bang Theory. When she cut off half her hair, she cut off half her looks.

Wallace was the best and Cooper and Martha were the worst!
Cooper is a CIA trained disinformation specialist. Here is his public admittance. The training itself is grossly downplayed, after all CIA is a spy agency.

"As a college student, I had a number of summer jobs and internships, including working at the CIA. [...] For a couple months over the course of two summers, I worked at the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia."
CNN.com - Anderson Cooper 360° Blog

Still does not change my opinion of Anderson and also his mother is a Vanderbilt which again would not change my opinion Wallace was better... I liked Lester Holt over Anderson and Martha... Cooper come off as a smug ass punk to me... Just my personal opinion...
