It is about being civil. I have a brother in law who is a civilian in the air force. He was in the air force when younger. He is a redneck. He poretends machoness. A good family man. He works at an air force base in new jersey. Through out his life he really never put his life on the line. Always in the back signing off paperwork for forty years and more. Everywhere I go I talk to clerks and attendants and waiters and I am pleasant and friendly. I know many of them by first name and we chat about various things.
