Why are democrats holding our government hostage?

Actually, the latest Rasmussen poll from 9/17 shows a majority of Americans favor a gov't shutdown until ACA funding is stripped.

The more people find out about ACA, the less they want it.. it's a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

Breitbart, you braindead twit LOL:eusa_whistle:...everything you know about ACA is total Pubcrappe...THE POLL SAYS NOTHING OF THE KIND, and RASMUSSEN IS ALWAYS WAY OFF ANYWAY...you just can'y keep up with the disinformation of the dupes.

And 16 percent plus of the 51 for a partial shutdown want single payer. God know what other stupid spin there is, but you can be sure YOU DUPES will never hear the truth...

even ABC says most americans opposed

Obamacare Arrives 3 Years Later, Little Understood and Not Well-Liked - ABC News

you fail again

Majorites don't want it repealed, either. It's staying.

ABC again:

52 percent say they’d support Congress’ shutting down the federal government’s major activities in order to block it,

Oh, so the robber is only asking for all the 20s, the bank can keep the 100s but this is still the banks fault?

I see you refuse to answer the question..

If all the Government except Obama-care is funded by a Republican Controlled House passed Bill and the Democrat Controlled Senate or the Democrat who sits in the Oval office blocks that Bill from becoming law... Who shut down the Government?

It really is a simple question with an equally Simple answer.

The ACA is law, not a "bill". Go back to Schoolhouse Rock.

I'll answer your question with a question...

If a majority Democrat controlled house passed a budget funding everything except the military or the government would shut down, who is shutting down the government?

It is a law that was passed by one party, with no discussion, no explanation to the american people, no amendments allowed by the other party, no open debate.

and it was passed by reconciliation in the senate, a process that has never been used for such a massive change in the way the country functions.

it is a terrible bill that was passed in the worst possible way.

It must be stopped, congress needs to get together and fix the terrible bill into something that will actually work and will not bankrupt the country.

Well, other polls have said otherwise on the issue of repeal. Considering it's gonna be implemented anyway....

For all that, there is one potentially positive result for proponents of the law: People who are informed about it are 18 points more likely than others to support it. That could mean that learning about the law encourages support; on the other hand, it also could mean that its supporters are more motivated than its critics to learn about it.

Guess we'll see how it shakes out after a few months.

Why are democrats holding our government hostage?

:lol::lol::lol:

If anyone is holding hostages, it's House Republicans. They KNOW this bill won't get throught the Senate; they KNOW Obama wouldn't sign it. They can pass a continuing resolution without their wet-dream idea that Obamacare will go away just because they voted to do it in for the 42nd time. They're trying to make a point...I guess. But the only message they're sending is that they're willing to risk damaging an already fragile economy just because they don't like Obama or Obamacare. Sorry, sore losers, but the ACA is law, deemed constitutional by the SC. Stop playing games, and start doing your fucking job.

no one said anything about polls NYC....why are the democrats holding the government hostage. care to address the thread?

Let me get this straight...if a guy walks into a bank with a gun and says gimme all your money or I start shooting, it's the banks fault?

The House passed a bill funding all of the Government except Obama-care...

If the Democrats or Obama refuses to allow the bill to go into law, who shut down the Government?

Keep repeating that. I'm sure those who will suffer the most from a shutdown will buy your excuse

Say something true, please.

Both party's were involved. There were amendments. There was crazy levels of discussion. The American people were given explanations. There was open debate.

The law was NOT passed by reconciliation. Budget reconciliation was used to amend it shortly after it was signed into law.

It is a LAW. IT IS NOT A BILL

52% is not a majority?

Never mind the fact that out of any percentage of those who "don't like" the law, a healthy number of those people don't think it goes far enough - in other words, they would like to see a more 'liberal' law.

Anyway, polls don't make or break laws. It was passed, signed into law and upheld by the SC. Deal with it.

52%, an ABC liberal poll, would rather see the government shut down than obamacare implemented...

what part of that do the libs here not understand?

just because it is law does not mean it has to be funded...

and dems know pubs won't pass anything unless obamacare is defunded....

see...same thing, but you're just too much of a hack to see it

So all of you conservatives who say that the reason you think the US is not a democracy, and shouldn't be one,

is because you think democracy equates to 'mob rule',

now suddenly you want to poll the mob on every bill that's passed before the government can be allowed to continue to function?

btw, less than 40% of Americans want Obamacare repealed, outright, so if the mob's opinion suddenly matters to you people,

fine, let's go with it.

Obamacare stays in place.

Then tell your dear leader he doesn't get to exempt who he wants and he doesn't get to manipulate the timeline of its implementation .......

No, it's not the same thing. The ACA is LAW. It's not going away. The GOP knows this, yet they go forward with their absurd plan. You're too much of a blind partisa to see anything else. Anything else, douchebag?

Yep and we saw it all on CSPAN, just like Obama promised.....

Context is a bitch.

Change of Subject: Why would Nancy Pelosi have said `we have to pass the (health-care reform) bill so you can find out what is in it'?
