Trump: We'll be the party of healthcare

At this point, Trump can pretty much turn the party into what ever he wants it to be. The party that's OK with a national healthcare plan. The party that doesn't mind their 2A getting infringed upon. The party that's OK with abortions.

I'm just wondering if the republicans even realize how far left of center Trump is taking them. As a fiscal conservative, I can see it. And even more worrisome, why is the left still upset with Trump? He was and will be the best president the left could ask for.

President Trump Pushing Back Healthcare Fight

Trump tried to strip tens of millions of Americans of their health care and bring back pre-existing condition exclusions (on the eve of a pandemic!). And he'll pick up where he left off if he's given power again.

The party that hates universal healthcare. The party that goes to wars that lead to soldiers losing parts of their bodies and racks up huge medical bills for life. The party that loves taking money from healthcare providers in order to keep the private system going (we call them BRIBES, okay?)

What a fucking liar this asshole is.

Wrong. He wanted to be even more socialistic than Obama.

Actions speak louder than words.

Wrong. He wanted to throw tens of millions of people off their coverage. He tried it via Congress and failed, tried it via executive action and made some progress taking away people's coverage, and he tried a Hail Mary to get the Supreme Court to take away people's coverage (which they ultimately declined to do in 2021).

Wrong because covering a lot more people, costing him zero, is what he wanted. He didn't care about the debt or deficit. This is what makes him a socialist.

He signed every new appropriations bills dealing with the ACA that came up. FFS, he only vetoed one spending bill in his 4 years. And that was because it didn't spend enough.

People who throw the term socialist around never know what it is.
Why is that?

I dunno, but you're totally right. Most of the self-labeled socialists I've met don't have a clue. They give me bullshit like "Socialism is just 'fair' capitalism" or whatever. They never really think it through.

They don't understand that Socialism is a well defined system not an attitude.

They give police and libraries and Fire Departments as examples.

What ever system that tries to pay for everything like healthcare, child care and more. I guess you could say it's government funded socialism.
