Why do big cities vote Democrat?

The fact is emoyers have it easier than ever finding workers...for cheap.
That's just a great argument for cutting legal immigration to a trickle and making it merit based along with securing the borders and removing as many illegals as possible.

Jobs are like any commodity, if you want it to be worth something it needs to be a highly desirable limited quantity.

Falsely inflating the job market with gov't mandated wages just reduces the number of jobs overall because any business only has so much money to spend on labor.

But we do exactly that
Which is why every time we raise minimum wages there is a corresponding drop in hiring.

Businesses don't have unlimited amounts of money to spend on wages and benefits.

This is also why more and more jobs are being lost to automation.

Which is fine. Small adjustments are perfectly ok

The adjustment being made as rapidly as possible is to replace people with machines because machines have a set cost and are more reliable.

Falsely inflating wages by gov't mandate is going to have the opposite effect of what you would like to see.

That has nothing to do with a min wage

Lots of countries have a higher min wage with successful economy

Aren’t they all dirty, disgusting, dangerous shitholes?
Why would the populous continue to vote themselves down the shitter?
No, they certainly are not. Even though big city living has it's inconveniences, crime, and other problems, the big cities make up for these problems with all that they have to offer. Big cities and areas around them are where the jobs are. They are also major cultural centers that have vibrant art and music scenes, a wider variety of food, more places of interest such as museums, events like ball games and concerts, and a diverse population with a shared experience of city living.

I've lived in big cities, small towns, and rural areas. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. The suburbs near big cities are often a good choice for families. Generally, there is less crime, lower cost of housing, lower taxes, and more family friendly actives than in the city. The disadvantages are driving time to the city, less sports , entertainment, fine dining, cultural events, and major sporting events.

It has a great deal to do with minimum wages which is exactly what chains like McDonald's cited when they started going to a kiosk model in cities where they had insane minimum wages.

When workers get too expensive they will be replaced either by other workers or by machines and technology whenever possible.

If cities had more pluses than minuses we'd not see the affluent leaving them for rural and suburban life.

A machine will always cost less than a human even if you paid him nothing

Workers will always be replaced when the technology is available

Do a worker cannot live on lower wages so they're going to have a bad life either way. Reality

Marriage tends to have a significant impact on how a woman votes. Unmarried women vote Democrat about 62 percent of the time, while married women tend to be evenly split between the parties.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the reason Democrats want to keep giving goodies to black women who populate the urban centers. This is why marriage is punished, via the taxation system. Democrats do not want women to get married. They want government to fill the role of the 'husband' and 'father'.

Workers are only replaced by technology when it becomes more profitable to replace them with machines.

A lower wage worker is screwed either way. Can't live on $15 per hour and will be replaced. Good ole america.
