In the cities where they can make the most moneyEh? Kids desperate for jobs go where the jobs are. Once they become affluent there's a steady exodus from those same cites.

You are of course talking out of your ass gain. We have machines that could eliminate millions of jobs but for various reasons they are not yet capable of doing it profitably. It is always more profitable. Every time
Then learn a skill or a trade so you have something more to offer.A lower wage worker is screwed either way. Can't live on $15 per hour and will be replaced. Good ole america.
Then the tech is not availableYou are of course talking out of your ass gain. We have machines that could eliminate millions of jobs but for various reasons they are not yet capable of doing it profitably.
This argument really gets old, less than 2% of Americans are working for minimum wage.A lower wage worker is screwed either way. Can't live on $15 per hour and will be replaced. Good ole america.
Available and profitable are not always mutually inclusive. Then the tech is not available
A machine is always more profitable than a person
7 million peopleThis argument really gets old, less than 2% of Americans are working for minimum wage.
I await your evidenceAvailable and profitable are not always mutually inclusive.
Out of a population of over 330,000,000 people. Minimum wage jobs are "entry level" jobs, not "career jobs.7 million people
How many people earn the federal minimum wage?
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) 1.6 million workers, or 1.9% of all hourly paid, non-self-employed workers, earned wages at or below the federal minimum wage in 2019. That year, 82.3 million people were paid hourly rates, making up 58.1% of all wage and salary workers in the United States.

Minimum wage in America: How many people are earning $7.25 an hour?
In 2022, 1.02 million hourly workers —1.3% of all hourly workers — earned at or below the federal minimum wage. That’s the lowest number since data collection began in 1979.usafacts.org
And this means or should mean what to me? Whatever that number is it's under 2% of the work force and those are "entry level" jobs mostly for those with no experience not career jobs.7 million people according to you
So what? And this means or should mean what to me? Whatever that number is it's under 2% of the work force and those are "entry level" jobs mostly for those with no experience not career jobs.
Those are states dumbass, try looking at district and county maps.

You really aren't very bright.
Only subsidize poverty if you want more of it.I'm in favor if one is working full time for less than 40 grand they get assistance.
Well since it seems to mean so much to you I was hoping you'd explain to us why it's so important. So what?
Hence the question. And this means or should mean what to me?
Then some children would starve to deathOnly subsidize poverty if you want more of it.
There's no "right" to any minimum level of income in this country.
This is why it is dangerous to have more takers than producers. When we reach a point that there's a high enough number of those with a negative tax liability over 50% they will vote to kill and eat the golden goose.
Or the young kids flocking to the cities after college
Because they need higher wages to live onWell since it seems to mean so much to you I was hoping you'd explain to us why it's so important.
