Why more and more people distrust Biden and the BIASED MSM..."GA bans volunteers from delivering water, etc. BIG ASS LIE!

Yeah the change in the law isn't hard to understand. In 2019 eight Republicans and one Democrat sponsored a bill to change election laws in Pennsylvania. Then after an election loss over a year later their Republican representatives in Washington voted to toss out the state's presidential election results (but no other results) claiming the change was illegal. You can't give these politicians an inch. And that surely isn't to claim the Democrats are any better.

Those dang Republicans!
New York Election Law
Sec. 17-140
Furnishing Money or Entertainment to Induce Attendance at Polls

§ 17-140. Furnishing money or entertainment to induce attendance at polls. Any person who directly or indirectly by himself or through any other person in connection with or in respect of any election during the hours of voting on a day of a general, special or primary election gives or provides, or causes to be given or provided, or shall pay, wholly or in part, for any meat, drink, tobacco, refreshment or provision to or for any person, other than persons who are official representatives of the board of elections or political parties and committees and persons who are engaged as watchers, party representatives or workers assisting the candidate, except any such meat, drink, tobacco, refreshment or provision having a retail value of less than one dollar, which is given or provided to any person in a polling place without any identification of the person or entity supplying such provisions, is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

Yes in New York a husband can fill a water bottle from the tap, take it with him to a polling place and legally share it with his wife. What's your point?
The same can be done in GA, even under the new law.

Poll workers and other people in line can give out water.

ONLY CAMPAIGN WORKERS CANNOT GIVE OUT ANYTHING OF VALUE, LEST IT BE CONSIDERED A BRIBE.

Not to mention, Campaign workers must stay like 150 feet away from the poll.

Sooooo.....Biden fucking lied at his “presser” as is every single leftist who said GEORGIA MADE IT ILLEGAL TO GIVE PEOPLE WATER!

Fuck you leftist liars
Democrats believe making buying votes illegal is wrong.
You guys are confused. The threat author says it's just not true that water is prohibited, and you said it's true and it's perfect. Which one is it?
water is not prohibited.
Yes it is.
Water can not be given out by Prog political shills. They can have names of people to vote for on the bottles or give out flyers while giving the water to their voters.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda and It doesn't happen. Why didn't the Governor just make it illegal to hand out flyers or sell a candidate to people at the voting polls?
Bullshit, because his desire is to SUPPRESS the vote and nothing more.

Good to hear. We need to get rid of all electioneering.
Then ban electioneering not offering someone a drink
Thats what they did dumbfuck.
LOL..because we all know someone who will spend hours waiting in line to vote will change that vote for a glass of water. Stupidity knows no bounds.
I doubt a button would either, but those are banned.
You guys just wanna bitch because your masters acted outraged.

If you see a claim in a rinky dinky right wing message board that the prohibition is not true, here is PolitiFact quoting the bill itself:
Georgia HB 531 has a section that prohibits "any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to an elector." Such giveaways will be banned within 150 feet of a building where people are voting, within any polling place or within 25 feet of any voter standing in line.

And remember, right wing message boards are not a source of news. They are a source of entertainment full of fake news.
PolitiFool assumes that voters are not required to feed and hydrate themselves the way other American citizens have for the past 255 years.

Polololololollolitifiction.

Get a real source, BlueAnon Loon
A right wing nicknamed CrusaderFrank from a message board is not a source.
You're not a fact checking website. You're a right wing troll without a name.
BlueAnon AND Polololololitifiction said so!
A right wing troll nicknamed "CrusaderFrank" started a threat so it must not be fake news.
CrusaderFrahahahank is not a news source.
Neither is politifact.

Yes it is.
Completely false. Folks are allowed to bring water...folks are free to donate water to the polling station and make it available to anyone who wants water, beyond the 150 feet, folks are even free to hand it out to people if they aren't waiting in line yet.

YOU LIE
Who the hell arrives at a police station thirsty before going online? You get thirsty because you wait a long time. You dumb f***
Who's talking about police stations and going online?

This is about polling stations. A couple points about that, 1) people should learn to be prepared, they know they are going to a polling station..,which might be quite different about knowing if you are going to a police station 2) water can be given to you by anyone if you don't prepare (so long as iit's given to you 150 feet before the polling station) 3) if within the 150 feet, or if you are in line beyond that, the polling station can have it for you, to get yourself...and anyone can donate water to the station to make available.

Regarding long lines...this law actually goes a long way to fix the issue. Prior to the law, the State could only get involved AFTER the fact, after the election. The polling stations are run by localities, and frankly where the long lines were, were dem controlled areas...in and around ATL.

Now that the law has passed, the State can act in real time, and address the issues by adding more machines, or more polling stations....here's the new law: If, at the previous general election, a precinct contained more than 2,000 electors and if [voters] desiring to vote on the day of the election had to wait in line for more than one hour before checking in to vote, the superintendent shall either reduce the size of such precinct so that it shall contain not more than 2,000 electors…or provide additional voting equipment or poll workers, or both, before the next general election….The chief manager of a precinct which contained more than 2,000 electors at the previous general election shall submit a report thereof to the superintendent of the reported time from entering the line to checking in to vote. Such wait time shall be measured no fewer than three different times throughout the day (in the morning, at midday, and prior to the close of polls) and such results shall be recorded on a form provided by the Secretary of State.
The purpose is to SUPPRESS the vote and nothing more. Closing the polling stations at 5 pm so that workers can't make it to the polls? Totally unnecessary to legislate all of a sudden. He should be making it easier to vote. We all know what he is trying to do regardless of the excuses you make for his actions.

This is such BS. The law is to prevent people from soliciting votes, and making sure people stay the fuck away from people in line to vote. There is no water crisis in voting lines and this is more fake outrage from the left. They are painting some imaginary picture of old black people passing out in the voting line from dehydration. It's ridiculous.
Republicans want to make voting as inconvenient and painful as they can
This is a reason we should do away with welfare. People expect free stuff while standing in line to vote.

Biden said it was “SICK, SICK” to make it illegal to buy votes. :auiqs.jpg:
Handing a thirsty man a bottle of water is not buying votes

how would you know??

if a trump supporter is going up and down a long line and handing our anything of value it could lead to a person voting in their favor,,
Seriously?

You think a determined to vote Democrat standing in line for 5 HOURS to cast their gosh darn vote, is going to change their vote to some Republican candidate because a kind republican person gave them water or food????

Nope!

The whole purpose by republicans to not give them water or food is so that the voters in these very long lined Democratic district voting precincts will give up and go home... And people coming to vote see the long line and just pass on voting...

dear Lord y'all are messed up people...

You should be FURIOUS that lawmakers etc, MADE THE CITIZENS STAND IN LINE FOR 5 HOURS just to cast their vote, while pearly white voting precincts have a 30 minute wait at most, to cast their votes...?

WHY IS IT TAKING 5 to 9 HOURS IN LINE TO VOTE in Democratic districts?.....

That's the fraud.... Through disenfranchisement.
I have no idea...but these laws blew up around the country after a ruling in Ellis v. Meeks,

In 1998, the Supreme Court of Kentucky, in Ellis v. Meeks, threw out the results of a primary election where the winner, Meeks (who prevailed by eight votes) had handed out free food at the polling place, and made it available to voters. The court rejected the argument that this was all harmless because there was no direct evidence that he had changed any votes or had demanded any explicit quid pro quo from voters:

At ten of the fifteen voting stations in the 11th Ward, Meeks made free food available to anyone present, glad-handed voters as they entered, and spoke with voters as they signed in to vote. Based upon this evidence, we… hold that Meeks’ non-verbal conduct solicited votes and amounted to electioneering within 500 feet of a building where votes were being cast…We can conceive of no other explanation for his actions…. We find that making free food available to precinct workers and voters was an item of value offered by Meeks in exchange for their votes or moral support in violation of [Kentucky law].
If you are really concerned about the GA citizens in line getting water, then you are free to donate it....give it to the poll workers, and they will make it available to the folks to get.
The poll workers are inside.... The water fountains are inside. How does that help the people in the mile long line?

That case, was the candidate himself, no?

Candidates should not be allowed to do what that candidate did....

They are not allowed to campaign at a polling place....nor should the people offering water or food in hours waiting voter lines..... Keep them from campaigning but not giving out water....

Better yet, there should be no situation, where it takes more than one hour in line, to vote..... Where is that legislation forcing state precincts to be fair and equal for all citizens in all voting districts?
I suppose anyone bringing a bottle of water and a power bar would solve every problem.
But then democrats would have no cause to work the lines handing out free goods to people likely to vote their way.
They are not there to tell them who to vote for, they already know who they likely are voting for.... They are handing out water, so the voters continue to stay another 3 hours in line, without passing out from heat stroke, or giving up and leaving because they can't take the heat and wait.

The whole Purpose of the long lines in Democratic voting places and smooth sailing in Republican districts...

To get the Democratic voter to just leave after a few hours of waiting, and to discourage other voters from voting due to the long lines.

you don't know your Republican party leaders/cheaters very well....
hEaT sTrOkE!!

Historical average temps the first week in November in Atlanta: 67 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

And, hey, you know who runs elections in Democrat districts?

Democrats.

You're angry at the wrong people.
I was wrong on the weather! Heat stroke in November is not likely as you correctly pointed out, but that was not the case in the summer primary Georgia had.... Where they had the 5 hour line wait....

The problem is the State of Georgia has cut voting precincts by 10% after the supreme court eliminated a civil rights voting act law that protected blacks from discrimination in Georgia....

while the active registered voters have increased by 40%....And the increased voters are primarily black and from the cities who have the very long lines....get a 10% cut in voting places.

this link is very informative, if you really want to know or care about what Georgia's Republican legislature and the Secretary of State, then Kent, did to disenfranchise the black voter....read it.

Are you saying White people don't have to stand in line to vote? That they walk to the front of the line? RME:stir:
Please,
read the article I linked to, on average the white voter only waits 8 minutes.
Sorry, I say the whole thing is much ado about nothing. I read your article and just did a simple search and this is what I found. Voting During Covid Vote Early in Person Not only are there multiple voting days to vote in person, an absentee ballot is available to anyone. Any suggestion of disenfranchisement is disingenuous at best.
If all those things were in play, including increased absentee voting also early voting, and precincts still had hours of a wait in line to vote in non white neighborhoods,

then that only shows, it's worse than I thought.... What would it have been like without all the absentee voters, if they showed up in person?
I believe that if a person wanted to vote, there were more than ample opportunities for anyone to vote. It is not the government's job to go door to door to ask how you would like to vote--although that is what absentee voting is. Again, noise.
According to Georgia law, each voting place can not have more than 2000 voters.... They've ignored their own laws in this, for over a decade, by reducing precincts instead of increasing them with the increase in active registered voters, to where some of these city precincts are averaging 3600 voters in election day....

Read the article, again.....

The legislature of one party, should not be able to F with the voters (they don't like) that way..... It's just plain wrong, and even you...should be against it.

And things the Rs have done in Georgia had democrats on the red alert back in 2016, so that's why this new bill is being chewed up and spit out by them, with accusations of racism....

I think it's just evil and a form of cheating in daylight....

I'm not certain if it is merely racism, if at all ....

I'm cynical enough and dismayed with Georgia republicans.... Enough so, that I believe if these were not black democratic voting city dwellers, and we werere all white Democratic leaning voters, the Georgia republicans would likely do the same things to us white folk, to disenfranchise or discourage us from voting with long lines....
The new GA law does more to fix the problem of long lines in GA:

If, at the previous general election, a precinct contained more than 2,000 electors and if [voters] desiring to vote on the day of the election had to wait in line for more than one hour before checking in to vote, the superintendent shall either reduce the size of such precinct so that it shall contain not more than 2,000 electors…or provide additional voting equipment or poll workers, or both, before the next general election….The chief manager of a precinct which contained more than 2,000 electors at the previous general election shall submit a report thereof to the superintendent of the reported time from entering the line to checking in to vote. Such wait time shall be measured no fewer than three different times throughout the day (in the morning, at midday, and prior to the close of polls) and such results shall be recorded on a form provided by the Secretary of State.
Or you could tell them to use more mail in voting to shorten their lines
Folks are free to do that...absentee voting is still available in GA, same with early voting...actually the law EXPANDED early voting.

" One of the biggest changes in the bill would expand early voting access for most counties, adding an additional mandatory Saturday and formally codifying Sunday voting hours as optional. Counties can have early voting open as long as 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at minimum. If you live in a larger metropolitan county, you might not notice a change. For most other counties, you will have an extra weekend day, and your weekday early voting hours will likely be longer. "What does Georgia's new voting law SB 202 do?

Yeah they did...."....prohibit anyone except poll workers from handing out water to voters in line, and outlaw passing out food and water to voters within 150 feet of the building that serves as a poll, inside a polling place or within 25 feet of any voter standing in line. Depending on the location, it is still possible for third-party groups to have food and water available — and it is possible for the lines to extend beyond 150 feet."

guess that makes colonel anus a fucking liar
This water thing was never an issue. If thirsty while on line, I went to the first area where there was water offered, whether Dems or Repubs. Why has the Governor done this? To make it difficult for the voter to get water, in my view.
Let's not forget the rule that now allows the legislature to replace local voting officials at its whim so that they can gain control. Both of these actions are designed to SUPPRESS the vote, and nothing more.

Hopefully that anti democratic provision will be struck down by the courts.
