The reason he hasn't released his tax returns has been talked about ad-nauseam. He's been advised that while under audit he should not release them. BTW that has been echoed by other tax attorneys as well. He's not scared or hiding anything. If he's hiding something he would be under investigation by now.

The ONLY reason the media wants them is to find something..anything to pounce on him about. If he paid $.25 less in taxes than 2014 they'll blow it up into a huge issue You know this to be true too I can only see the headlines.

IMO, Donald Trump didn't start out to seriously running for President. He may not still be really wanting the job, but I think many people around him are pushing him to do so. He's a billionaire used to getting his own way, 70 years old and taking an oath would tie his hands for at least 4 years.

That said, IF Donald Trump releases his tax returns, then I'd take that as a solid indication he's in the race heart, mind and soul. You may not like the results.

I'm fine with discussing the macroeconomic impact of them; however, I don't know that there's much to say now that they've been evaluated quite critically. What I'm very reluctant to do, however, is engage in a discussion about economics with folks who don't have a strong economics background. I've tried doing that and it just angers me and I spend more time in didactic mode because the remarks I get in reply show little or no real understanding of econ.

In other words, you had rather bash the opposition, his wife and children than debate the issues.
