I have no idea what Tillerson is up to but I got the impression that he and Trump were already falling out over his public contradictions of Trump.

So maybe Tillerson will quit.

Or maybe Trump will fire him.

Well, that's a response that isn't contrary to known facts. I cannot imagine being told that he couldn't Elliot Abrams as his #2 sat well. Tillerson is no fool, although he admits to having no clue as to Sec of State, but Abrams sure does. But for Iran Contra he's have been a Sec of State and probably defense. And as for Putin, Abrams can probably lay his hands on some Pershing missiles right quick. (-: It may be falling apart for Tillerson so he just wants pet media coverage.
