tell me you didnt just use wiki as a source??

Freedom of speech has limitations.
No legally it doesn't. An American can say whatever he pleases no matter who it offends. Of course someone shouldn't scream fire in a theater if there isn't one, but that's not what this is. This is someone with a different politcal view point and that doesn't give him the right to deny someones else's right to free speech.

source for what??
the dictionary has been around for a long time and wiki admits they are not reliable,,

Freedom of speech does not include the right:

  • To incite imminent lawless action.
    Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969).
  • To make or distribute obscene materials.
    Roth v. United States, 354 U.S. 476 (1957).
  • To burn draft cards as an anti-war protest.
    United States v. O’Brien, 391 U.S. 367 (1968).
  • To permit students to print articles in a school newspaper over the objections of the school administration.
    Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier, 484 U.S. 260 (1988).
  • Of students to make an obscene speech at a school-sponsored event.
    Bethel School District #43 v. Fraser, 478 U.S. 675 (1986).
  • Of students to advocate illegal drug use at a school-sponsored event.
    Morse v. Frederick, __ U.S. __ (2007).

Freedom of speech applies ONLY to the government, not private employers.

The left had a fit when a businessman owned a bakery refused to bake a cake for a gay couple because of his Christian views. His right to Freedom of Religion. So, this is another hypocritical point coming from the left. Don't you think? Let's see what happens with you morons when a conservative employer fires someone for wearing a biden shirt. It's going to happen because you've opened that door.

Geez you are shallow.

The "fit" wasn't over one instance of religious dickhead bigots. It was over the prospect that homosexuals could be freely discriminated against in the marketplace.

If the guy had BLM in big letters on his hoodie.
He'd have gotten a pat on the back and a pay increase
Yeah, really. He certainly wouldn't have been sent home or otherwise disgraced. Only whites get that treatment. Maybe a quiet word not to wear that to work.

They are issued work uniforms. Thats what he should have been wearing. I have a “Black Lives Matter” shirt. I don’t wear it at work because its not appropriate.
It will come in handy if toilet paper can't be found. Good thinking.

Assuming that dress code, which is normally covered in most company handbooks, is consistently monitored and enforced, it most definitely would not be appropriate.

It's called freedom of speech buddy. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks about. It's an AMERICAN right and probably the most important of them all.
Some of the owner's 10 commandments for his workplace employees are:
Thou shalt not interfere in my business plan, for thine own purpose
Thou shalt put no other personal interests before mine when dealing with my customers

So one of our technicians had the brilliant idea to wear a hoodie with the confederate flag proudly displayed on it. The service manager wrote him up and sent him home for the week. Yes you can display whatever you want, but there will be consequences.
So in other words a guy puts on some random hoodie he has and gets written up?

Sounds Like You and the manager is two more Karen's
