Yes, they can request them, but no, they cannot be made public. The very law they are using to be given access to his tax records also states that they can only be accessed in closed executive session, which is subject to secrecy conditions.

This means they can look at then all they want, but none of it can legally be made public, nor can it be shared with any other member of government. Pretty much the only person or group of people who can view them is limited to the ones in the executive session.
