Yes, The Democrats Can Legally Access The Pres's Tax Returns, & Yes, The Info Will Be Made Public

Yeah sure... like Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress and then turned over all the documents ... sure
Nice spin / lie. Eric holder was caught committing Felony Perjury before Congress in an attempt to keep the President's Fast and furious Scandal covered up. His being Censured by a Bi-Partisan Congress had nothing to do with delaying the release of documents and everything to do with his Perjury and the President's protection of him from indictment.

That went way over your head....
No, again, the false claim that Holder was censured for not releasing documents in a timely manner rather than the truth that he was censured for committing Felony Perjury did NOT go over my head.

"(1) material subject to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6 (e) that by law cannot be made public; (2) material the intelligence community identifies as potentially compromising sensitive sources and methods; (3) material that could affect other ongoing matters, including those that the Special Counsel has referred to other Department offices; and (4) information that would unduly infringe on the personal privacy and reputational interests of peripheral third parties" will not be released."

"Every page of the 'confidential report' provided to Attorney General Barr on March 22, 2019 was marked 'May Contain Material Protected Under Fed. R. Crim. P. 6(e)' - a law that protects confidential grand jury information - and therefore could not be publicly released," DOJ spokesperson Keri Kupec released in a statement. "Given the extraordinary public interest in the matter, the Attorney General decided to release the report's bottom-line findings and his conclusions immediately -- without attempting to summarize the report -- with the understanding that the report itself would be released after the redaction process."

"As the Attorney General stated in his March 29th letter to Chairman Graham and Chairman Nadler, he does not believe the report should be released in 'serial or piecemeal fashion.' The Department continues to work with the Special Counsel on appropriate redactions to the report so that it can be released to Congress and the public."

"NOT GOOD ENOUGH!"

...and YES, their doing so is completely politically motivated, no matter what they and their surrogate fake news media cohorts claim.

26 U.S. Code § 6103:
26 U.S. Code § 6103 - Confidentiality and disclosure of returns and return information
The Code / Law allows the chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, among other senior lawmakers, to seek returns by sending a written request to the Treasury Secretary.
-- It is officially the authority of the Treasury Secretary to decide if those tax returns are released or not. (The President will undoubtedly 'pressure' the Treasury Secretary NOT to release them, appropriately pointing out the request is politically motivated. If Mnuchin refuses, however, Congress can hold him in Contempt of Congress.
*** The Code has rarely been used, but there has been no reported refusal by a Treasury Secretary.

Once in the hands of the Democrats, either in the House Ways and Means Committee or in the hands of Democrats in general, it is almost guaranteed that personal /private data will not only be leaked to the public but it will also be used to fuel more unsubstantiated claims, accusations, and attacks against the President.
*** The historic evidence of Democrat / conspirator / liberal media's leaking information - from Comey's to his professor buddy (with the intent it be leaked to the liberal press) to McCabe's leaking (for which he was recommended for indictment by the US IG) to D-Schiff's admitted leaking to the Mueller 'Hit Squad's leaking of info in the last few days - proves this to be the case.

Despite Democrats' claim their request for 6 years of Trump's tax returns is not politically motivated, the direct evidence that it is will be the almost immediate release / leak of information from those returns after they are released to the Democrats. IT WILL HAPPEN! (I predicted it officially here 1st! :p )

Another more immediate bit of obvious evidence exposing this as being politically motivated is that despite the Mueller report (so far) exposing there was no crime of collusion established, no indictments made for 'illegal collusion', and no more indictments coming, the Democrats want to go on this new 'fishing expedition', displaying they think they can find something criminal in the President's tax returns despite the IRS, whose job it is to audit tax payers and determine this, having found no evidence to date of criminal activity by the President, either.

Can House Democrats release Donald Trump's tax returns?

Obama's Birth Cert makes everything fair game... It was Trump who went that low first...

I wonder if they ever checked into Barry Hussein and (former) terrorist Bill Ayers handling of a lucrative endowment fund dedicated to improving the education system in Chicago. How did that work out? Barry came to the White House with nothing but the clothes on his back and a wife who was disbarred from practicing law. Democrats didn't even look at his freaking birth certificate much less audit his taxes. I guess democrats only go after successful people.

Can House Democrats release Donald Trump's tax returns?
Yes, they can request them, but no, they cannot be made public. The very law they are using to be given access to his tax records also states that they can only be accessed in closed executive session, which is subject to secrecy conditions.

This means they can look at then all they want, but none of it can legally be made public, nor can it be shared with any other member of government. Pretty much the only person or group of people who can view them is limited to the ones in the executive session.

Bwhahhaaa!

As pointed out in the OP this is legal and can not be blocked

Oh well. Can’t hide behind “they’re being audited” lies any more huh?

Good luck with the witch hunt, the pettiness of the partisans is just unreal.

I have a huge issue with the government not requiring a President to turn over his taxes and then when he refuses they go after them just because they can. It's petty politics and the Republicans and Democrats are going to continue to play sill games while the country and our problems will get back burned while they both cry. Party over politics is the new way.

Prepare for the big Rachel Maddow moment, where it will be revealed that Trump paid more taxes than any democratic member or their parrot organizations such as MSNBC.

As for this not being politically motivated? They must be batshit if they think anyone will buy that.
They don't need everyone to buy, it just gives cover for the robot tards to parrot the talking points....you see it on this board everyday.

Oh well. What do you suppose he's hiding?

Every President since Nixon has turned over his taxes.

Not gonna happen. The Democrat party is going to get clobbered next year because they're not doing their job.

Why not pass a law that every candidate for office has to turn over their tax receipts

Think Trump would sign it?
Not In a million years

Does Bulldog ever write more than two sentences? It's the damndest thing....almost invariably!

Do you think any of these people realize that for two years, they pwn'd themselves day after day on the colussion stuff. Then on obstruction. Now we're down to tax returns?:backpedal:

Are there any serious people left in here to debate? Because this is getting st00pid.
