now my son will not drop by unannounced....and that goes back on you....was he raised by meerkats? lol

now if i could teach mine to return calls/texts/primal screams.....
 
o yes but let me not answer the phone and he will go nutzo....southern sons are rather bossy...they seem to think if grumpy isnt home that kidlet becomes man of the house....i didnt answer the phone one time..when i was sick in all fairness to him....and he drove over and gave me hell for about 30 minutes...

If you even remotely approach "tough" it's considered abuse.....

I told my kid to go get a room, work and go to college. He could have lived here and commuted.
He did it and has never had to ask me for a dime. Never had to ask me for help in any other way.
An currently makes more money than I do.
He calls me every week and we have a great relationship.

... AND, I'm far from a perfect parent.

Commonplace in various cultures for multiple generations to live under the same roof. As the US becomes more multicultural, these practices are going to skew the results of such studies.
I sure hope that Delta has been sterilized.
