Youngkin Already Picking Fight With Virginia Parents, Get's Smacked Down On Mask Mandate

I don't think using funding for schools and kids education is a good bargaining chip for this? Maybe work it through the courts?
Negative.....Why wait years for a final result from the robed ones when Youngkin knows full well that nothing strikes fear in the hearts of schools districts more than the funding spigot being cut off.

Oh they might be able to get a injunction but there's lots of ways Youngkin can fuck with a asshole country that has shit-all to do with their schools.....Soon they will try to save face saying the "crisis" has passed to get the spigot turned back on.

He needs only to turn Harriett Tubman loose on them and I bet they will soon see the error of their ways. ;)

Fairfax is one of the richest counties in the nation, it provideds the most Commonwealth revenue out of all the other counties. Fairfax would stop sending money to the State, Richmond isn't about to cut that cash cow loose.........

Evidently you don't know how things are run here in Virginia.....The blue-burb counties can try.....Oh please let them try.

Remember a county is not some faceless corporation but their "leaders" are real people with home addresses where the VSP can show-up to and arrest them. ;)

I lived for 35 years in NoVA before moving out west. Pretty sure I'm familiar with VA politics and how much money NoVA gives to the state. I remember when Arlington tried to keep their gun restrictions and got shot down by the Commonwealth. There is a balancing act, one side pushes the other side pushes back. Pretty sure Fairfax and Arlington would put up a major fight if State funds were withheld.
Not that I would think the Gov would make such a move.
This is not me saying Fairfax should fight back if that happened, it's just me saying this is a probable outcome.

You are correct. Big $$$ there.

Go ahead. Withhold funding from those school districts tough guy, and lets see how that works out for you.

He's leaving the decision to mask or not mask to the PARENTS and not the boot of government coming down on our kids. They've suffered enough under Fow Chi-ism. Time to take our country back from the Covid Gestapo. Bravo Governor!

Thanks Q

Hey take heart. Ron Watkins wants to run for Congress

Ron Watkins means as little to me as Q.

Isn't he that guy who sells bottles liniments and seasonings?

Too funny... If any kids are kicked out for refusing the diaper, I'd like to see Youngkin have them escorted back in by state troopers. A kind of Wallace in the schoolhouse door, in reverse. You Marxist filth want to play games? Let's go, baby!

New Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) began his new job by ensuring that all masks mandates would be banned in schools regardless of what the community and parents want.

Speaking to the press on Sunday, Youngkin was asked about the Arlington school district still requiring masks regardless of what the governor says. Arlington County voted 76.7 percent against Youngkin despite his campaign pledge to kill masks in schools.

Youngkin said that clearly, the schools didn't listen to what parents wanted, assuming that the parents in Arlington don't want the mask mandate. Arlington County voted 76.7 percent against Youngkin despite his campaign pledge to kill masks in schools.

First day on the job, don't even know what the law is. This ain't Flori-Duh son. That crap won't fly here.
The EO allows parents to keep their kids mask if they want them to be mask. The only people upset about this our a handful of school boards who wanted the power directly to make the mandate.

Shouldn't kids by the time they reach school age, not need diapers? Sounds like an epic failure on your part if your five year old is wearing diapers still

They can try but one thing that the dems were not able to replace to any great extent during the short but damaging time they held sway in the legislature was state judges. I believe all but one was seated by a gop controlled legislature and they tend to be very conservative. Remember, Virginia does not elect judges by popular vote.

A county can only seek relief from the feds once they have went through the Virginia courts, and they won't want the spigot being turned off that long....Oh they will whine and stamp their feet but come around in the end.

Oh you are correct about one thing and that is NOtVA shits golden eggs for the rest of the state and that's not going to stop because I'm not thinking the snowflakes running NOtVA would be up for a felony conspiracy charge. ;)

Hey skews13 how is it picking a fight with parents to give all of the the CHOICE to mask up their kids or not?

Is CHOICE a bad thing now?
