2014 was hottest year on record- When will GOP get it?

Maybe this is just normal?.....
Let's see where we are in ....let's say a few hundred thousand years before we push the panic button like Libs want us to.
I don't see any reason to over react.

The problem is one side believes a lot of ignorant bs provided by greedy pollutin' billionaires and oil men. Check how much the Kochs plow into that misleading propaganda...

Yeah, its the side that claims global warming / climate change is real, that it's a threat, and that it's man-made. :cuckoo:

AGW/CC is a lie and a scam.

Yes it does - don't you realize that you can retrieve climate data from ice core samples that are centuries old? (and other core samples as well).

I see. You don't know how to science.

Yeah, OK.

So where was that good, peer-reviewed science you promised to show me that contradicts?

That's what I thought

:lmao:

So, you don't know how to science, and you don't know know how to logic.

Here's a little education for you....The temperature record is the record of actual, recorded temperatures. It does not include extrapolated estimations based on things like ice core analysis. Record keeping began in the mid 19th century. One thing that many AGW types won't tell you, though, is that the reliability of those records is highly questionable. Standards of measurement back then were not what they are today. Not to mention, technological advances allow us to calibrate with much better accuracy nowadays.

What they will tell you is that climate "scientists" have had to "revise" the temperature record to account for those inaccuracies. Which is really an admission of the same, but also incorporates a heavy dose of ego, and an [apparently] subtle hint of whimsical nonsensicality.

That's what I thought

Get back to me when you come up with that contradictory science - if you can figure out what science is.

Personally, I'd LOVE IT if someone could contradict ACC with some good science. I really don't like the idea of burdening people who are struggling to pay their energy costs even more. But you can't convince me that we don't need to make some changes with political rhetoric - I'm praying someone comes up with the good science that contradicts it. They just haven't yet.

But I'll keep watching and hoping.

The summer of 2014 where I live was the best Summer in quite some time.
Some hot days, most days were pleasant, low humidity very nice...
I would love to have more Summers like the last one.

Here is the data from this site:Climate at a Glance National Climatic Data Center NCDC

This is data for the last 14 years for global ocean temperatures. Plotted on an annual bases. Note that there is a trend upwards of .04 degrees per decade. I wonder what the standard deviation is on the data. Especially considering that the data needs "adjusted" to come to a final conclusion. But let's say that the data is correct, then what we are fighting over is almost nothing. Note also that for this .04 increase 2000 started out as a very cold temperature and 2014 spikiing high.

2000 0.35°C 1
2001 0.45°C 5
2002 0.49°C 10
2003 0.52°C 14
2004 0.49°C 10
2005 0.50°C 13
2006 0.48°C 7
2007 0.41°C 4
2008 0.39°C 2
2009 0.50°C 13
2010 0.50°C 13
2011 0.40°C 3
2012 0.45°C 5
2013 0.48°C 8
2014 0.57°C 15

Now here is the US data for the same time period. This is the average temperature which is all they give, for the 48 states.

00001 - 200012 53.27°F 10 0.00°F
200101 - 200112 53.70°F 13 0.43°F
200201 - 200212 53.21°F 8 -0.06°F
200301 - 200312 53.26°F 9 -0.01°F
200401 - 200412 53.10°F 6 -0.17°F
200501 - 200512 53.64°F 11 0.37°F
200601 - 200612 54.25°F 14 0.98°F
200701 - 200712 53.65°F 12 0.38°F
200801 - 200812 52.29°F 1 -0.98°F
200901 - 200912 52.39°F 2 -0.88°F
201001 - 201012 52.98°F 5 -0.29°F
201101 - 201112 53.18°F 7 -0.09°F
201201 - 201212 55.28°F 15 2.01°F
201301 - 201312 52.43°F 3 -0.84°F
201401 - 201412 52.55°F 4 -0.72°F

Note: this is a negative trend of -0.27 deg F per decade.

Now doing global without 2000 or 2014 in the calculation.

2000 0.35°C 1
2001 0.45°C 5
2002 0.49°C 10
2003 0.52°C 14
2004 0.49°C 10
2005 0.50°C 13
2006 0.48°C 8
2007 0.41°C 4
2008 0.39°C 2
2009 0.50°C 13
2010 0.50°C 13
2011 0.40°C 3
2012 0.45°C 5
2013 0.48°C 7

It is now a positive trend of 0.01 deg C

Humans survived massive climate change with 15,000 BC technology.

These AGW scam artist aren't going to scare anybody. Hell, even Al Gore bought beach front property.

What is interesting is how the left wing says that the right wing overreacted to the Ebola scare. It was all over the news about Ebola and how bad it was and how there was going to be an epidemic. Basically what I saw was that given the information presented in the left wing MSM then let's do something about it. Inhibiting traffic to the infected areas was one of those ideas. Now that the MSM got tired of pushing the story the left wing is trying to say people overreacted. Yet with GW/CC/CD or whatever name they use today they want us to shut down our factories to "save the planet." To "Save the Children."

One has to be impressed with how much wealth Gore has accumulated doing nothing but spreading fear. Then he flouts his wealth by using more energy then small towns. Quite impressive considering his apparent mental abilities.

Amazing the power some greedy idiot billionaires have over the GOP and the chumps. Climategates- no one in the real world cares. BS obscurities.

OK, then show me the good, peer-reviewed science that contradicts it.

I'd LOVE to see it.

(btw - political pundits are NOT scientists. They don't count)

You can go to this site: Peer-reviewed papers by climate skeptics

It lists the peer reviewed papers done by climate skeptics, for lack of better words. The site is not exactly kind to those who wrote these papers so you can at least think the somewhat objective, maybe. As for GOOD? Isn't that in the eye of the beholder?

OK, I'll check it out.
Good science is not really that subjective a term. It refers to good (sound) methodology. It either follows good scientific principles or it doesn't.

Time is the big difference between weather and climate. Saying "hey, it was pretty cool out there today" means absolutely nothing in a discussion on climate. So many people do it. It's just goofy.
