If the 2nd Amendment "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.", confers the right to bear arms to the Militia and not the people, where does the Militia get their arms?

Cabelas, Gander Mountain, online sales?

Seriously, the militia was composed of the people, but was restricted to able bodied men between 18-45.
It excluded men under 18 and above 45, and women.

Who had the cannons ? Did people own them. Or did the cities just throw them in a shared armory ?

The militia was the people. Well back then it meant all males eligible to be called into military service now it would be more inclusive

The term well regulated in 18th century vernacular meant ordered, disciplined, working as expected.

It is a more modern connotation that regulated means government controlled
