5 most difficult promises for Trump to keep

Revive American steel-making and coal-mining industries.

The productivity of the American coal industry has increased roughly tenfold since the end of World War II. The work that once required 10 miners now requires just one. Steel making has undergone a similar transformation. That is by far the most important reason employment in both industries has declined precipitously. Most of those jobs are never coming back.

Demand for coal has also declined thanks to a revolution in the production of natural gas and, to a lesser extent, other alternative energy sources
Yeah, Trump fed the coal workers a big heaping serving of bullshit. He's not going to be able to save their jobs. Trump's Chumps have been fooled into bleeving it has something to do with regulation, but it doesn't.

But for every job lost in the coal industry, there have been, and will continue to be, gains in the natural gas industry. It won't be long until Trump and his Chumps are dead silent about coal and claiming credit for the increase in natural gas jobs.
Trump's even cutting their govt paid healthcare. LOL. chumps.

GOP adds measure to aid Mattis' confirmation to stopgap bill

Invest in infrastructure to create jobs.

Mr. Trump will find bipartisan support in Congress for his proposal to create jobs and stimulate the economy by building and repairing highways, bridges, water systems and other public works. But many Republicans may balk at a big spending program that adds to the federal budget deficit.

Some Democrats will resist Mr. Trump’s proposal to offer tax breaks to private companies in return for infrastructure investments, notably because the federal government is able to borrow money at exceptionally low rates. Democrats are also likely to resist efforts to waive environmental rules or prevailing-wage protections for construction projects.
The federal government cannot create jobs… Fact
Fact is, you are misleading like most libs. While it is technically correct that the fed "cannot create jobs", what it can do, and what Trumps admin WILL DO, is create an atmosphere that promotes the creation of jobs.

Like most republicans they will create an atmosphere that creates and maintains wealth at the top. Those jobs will never materialize

Prove it.

All Trump must do is keep one campaign promise and he will exceed Obama's commitments.

Obama stopped a depression, passed universal healthcare, got combat troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, repealed the Bush tax cuts and saved the auto companies

Trump will not even come close

You left off he stopped the impending Romulan invasion...
It was not Romulans, it was millions of Mexicans streaming across our borders raping our women and stealing our jobs

We need a force field

Useless public sector jobs.. That dont bring in new money.

Also useless temp jobs like obamas stimulous.

But they do create high paying union defense jobs, so you got to give them that.

Millions of jobs teaching, police, fire, construction, courts...the entire defense industry

Hardly useless "temp" jobs

Whats the matter you dont want to mention the D.O.T. the I.R.S. and all the other high paying great pension paper pushing jobs?

.

Besides cops, firemen and the.like are local not federal try again.

.

Who cares?

Government collects money from the people and uses it to provide services at all levels. Government is still government regardless of the level. It is also difficult to separate local, state and federal funding since all provide funding for schools, police and firemen

Government dont sell anything Except military hardware ..its all paid for with tax dollars thats why most of the jobs are so useless.
Why are jobs paid with tax dollars useless?

Military, teachers, cops, construction.....useless?

I will start off by saying all politicians make ‘well-intended’ promises…and those made they know they can’t keep but know it’s what the voters want to hear. That being said, here’s my $.o2:

1. Prevent American companies from moving jobs to other countries.
- Replace the word ‘PREVENT’ with the word ‘DISCOURAGE. Hitting them with high tariffs when bringing their goods back into the US while offering them incentives to stay will go along way to discourage companies from taking their plants / work overseas.

2. Revive American steel-making and coal-mining industries
- Again, add the words ATTEMPT TO’ in front of the statement above. It needs to be done to help facilitate the revival of an independent America, but he obviously CAN’T do it or make it happen on his own.

3. Increase American economic growth to more than 4 percent a year.
- Obama is the 1st US President not to achieve 3% growth his entire time in office. It is not completely out of the range of possibility, but it is clearly being optimistic. He doesn’t have a crystal ball. I think it can definitely be done, though.

4. Invest in infrastructure to create jobs.
- I completely believe this is a complete and utter mistake. It was a bad idea to believe Obama / Democrats could / would spend nearly $1 trillion dollars on a ‘jobs bill’ that would create jobs and ‘upgrade infrastructure’ and actually believe the money would get to the right people and fund the actual projects to do so, and it is an utter mistake that just because some one in the other party asks you to trust them to do the same thing because THEY can do it much better and reliably than ‘the other guy’.

Trump is a business man with much more experience in the world of business than Barry was, but that does not mean he can do any better of a job and prevent the massive fraud, waste, and abuse that existed in the Stimulus Bill that contained over 7,000 pieces of pork. In the end, no matter who is doing the spending we are talking about the US government – that has created together a $20+ trillion dollar debt-burdening condition in which we are now forced to operate and live. I fully expect NO DIFFERENCE / OUTCOME if Trump is allowed to have his nearly $1 trillion dollar ‘Stimulus’ bill than we got from Obama’s.

5. Build a border wall.
- This is ABSOLUTELY possible – the problem that we face is not the physical / economic ability to do this but rather the WILL to do so.

Trump obviously can’t force Mexico to pull money out of their own coffers and hand over to us to build such a wall, unless Trump wants to hit them with high tariffs and start a trade war, which again he COULD DO.

There are still ways to ‘get them to pay for it’. He COULD withhold foreign aid they receive from us and use that money to pay for the wall and more BPAs. He COULD freeze Mexican Government assets and use money to pay for the wall AND compensate the victims and the grieving family of the victims of crimes / murder by violent Illegals.

Again, it is physically possible to do it, but there is not really the political will – on both sides – to make this happen. Liberals alone would filibuster the living crap out of any such plan, and the only way Trump could get it done would be to follow the precedence set by Obama and do so by Executive Order.

On what planet?
Economy is the worst in 50 years, wages are going negative, everyone hates Hopeycare (which he never promised but waited to get elected to pass it secretly at midnight against the will of the people), our troops are fighting and dying in Iraq and Afghanistan this very moment, Gitmo is still occupied, and companies are pouring out of America left and right.

Just eight years ago the Dow had dropped 7000 points, 770,000 people a month were losing their jobs, banks and the auto industry were on the verge of collapse and GDP was negative for five quarters

How can you possibly say the economy TODAY is the worst in 50 years

The federal government cannot create jobs… Fact
I guess you think repeating a lie makes it truer the more you say it.

If the federal government cannot create jobs, why do you blame the government for the low Labor Force Participation Rate?

Positively schizophrenic.

Then voters said enough with Democrats controlling Congress and destroying the economy.

Yet you can't point to a single piece of legislation that "ran us into a ditch"

You can point to Bush doing nothing as the economy crashed around him

The gop has long supported lowing corp tax rates and making it more attractive to biz to bring for earning back into the US ... so long as Obama wasn't potus. That will happen, and it will save some jobs, although other low skill jobs will continue to go off shore ... and they should since that will help US biz be competitive. And congress will not approve anything to "punish" them. More importantly, with lower taxes and less regulation, and an economy already growing, NEW jobs will be created.

Trump's an amusing showman, but he isn't bringing anything any other gop potus candidate wasn't pushing.

Business is sitting on trillions in offshore cash. Trump will offer lower tax rates and some type of "amnesty" to bring back funds
I have heard from various Big 4 firms that this is currently in progress.

Good call.

You're right.

This will be another "W" type give away.

"W" 's inactivity was akin to Hoover and Buchanan -- each of whom did nothing in the face of their own crises -- the Great Depression and the Civil War.

For crying out loud Republicans....Do something!

Invest in infrastructure........interest rates are low, labor is cheap...we need the jobs and our infrastructure is crumbling

The 5 Easiest and 5 Most Difficult Promises for Donald Trump to Keep

Prevent American companies from moving jobs to other countries.

Companies move to other countries to pursue higher profits, and Mr. Trump cannot force them to stay. The question is whether he can make it profitable to do so. It is difficult because labor is much cheaper in other countries. Carrier pays workers at its Indiana factory an average hourly wage of $23 — roughly four times what it plans to pay workers with the same jobs in Mexico.

Mr. Trump has promised tax cuts and regulatory relief, but those are minor expenses for most companies, particularly in comparison to their payrolls. Mr. Trump also has threatened to impose new taxes on imports, but he cannot target particular companies. Any such tariffs would have to be broad — and therefore broadly painful.

So you're against keeping jobs in america?
