Hillary Clinton goes Goebbels one better: Tell enough lies and eventually people will believe most of them. Thus, by extension, a mountain of lies is my greatest friend.

To SassyIrishLass & Stratford57: The thing that should trouble every American is that she was a known-liar in Arkansas. After eight years of lies in the White House, political support came from rank & file Democrats knowing what she is.

I firmly believe that she made a political calculation when she ran for the US Senator in 2000 —— lying about everything ia a plus in the party of liars. Proof: Not one lie ever hurt her. Based on the number of lies she spewed with such ease when she was first lady, I have to conclude that she always saw lies as a plus.

Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our first lady — a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation — is a congenital liar. If Hillary is indicted, if she goes to trial, if the jury is not packed, if the judge is not on the take, motive is Hillary’s last line of defense. Loretta Lynch will sure as hell instruct her prosecutor to forget the law and prosecute the motive. Motive is a guarantied acquittal when all else fails. Hillary’s motive-defense is equivalent to not guilty of murder by reason of insanity.

Mrs. Clinton did not set out to damage national security and compromise defense secrets, although she obviously had no compunction about doing so as necessary to serve her higher personal interests. For a generation, she has been a public person whose most intimate companion has been scandal. She knew her State Department stewardship would be no different. Her motive in designing a communication system that circumvented government recordkeeping and disclosure laws was to avoid a day of reckoning as she campaigned in 2016 for the power of the presidency she craves.​
