A simple question for Americans: Do we have equal justice under the law?

We have people who have been freed from prison while they were on death row. Not just improperly imprisoned...on death row.

Most often it isn't because some public defender decided to dig deeper into the case; it's because the profile of the case gets elevated (often by a federal review) and groups like DPIC get involved.

Had the system been calibrated fairly and if we put he same investment into protecting the rights of the accused that we put into the prosecution of the accused, we wouldn't have people who were destined for a date with the executioner freed with the state saying, "my bad".

How many have died who were wrongfully convicted?

I'm rather tickled that the right wing fucktards are suddenly questioning if we need to reform how we dispense justice. As for Biden...The guy has been in the public eye for 50 years. These shrill screams about bribes and paybacks and whatever the scandal du jour is has only served to make you guys look more desperate.
