A Travesty: Muslim Call To Prayer To Be Chanted Every Friday Across Campus At Duke University

my prayer is that they get their asses kicked
My GF just heard that NC has the largest number of KKK of any state, more than the other former Confederate states combined.

Maybe the Klan will go all Greensboro on Duke administration.

Students should protest, but, they are spineless dupes that believe in zombies.

I can find no more fault with the call for prayer than I might with the ringing of church bells.

However it does seem there must be mandated an at least weekly 2-minute use of the prayer-calling gear for the "broadcast" of the sounds of crickets chirping in recognition of the rights of we who DO NOT GIVE A SHIT about religion.

Ok. Once again, a private organization made a decision about what happens on their campus.
An immensely stupid decision.

Muslims love us stupid Americans. Muslims love symbolic victories. Planting mosques in the middle of their conquests and talking shit about infidels on their own native soil. Remember the WTC mosque and the golden dome on the Temple Mount.

Looks like Franklin Graham's call for donors to stop giving to Duke may have had it's desired effect.

If true, then...

It's attitudes like some of the people display here that makes many muslims feel marginalized and basically like 2nd class citizens.

All the muslim students wanted was the Adhan (call to prayer) to be broadcast for about 3 min. every Friday at noon.

But people here demand an apology for ISIS and Boko Haram and the Charlie Hebdo magazine incident.

Like somehow these muslim students at an American university are responsible for isolated events taking place on the other side of the world.

Go figure.........

Hooray for bigotry

Sounds like Duke has made a business decision, and at this time it appears dumping the call to prayers benefits their bottom line more.
Maybe they will change right back if there's even a bigger push back in the other direction.

Isolated events?

That's pretty funny.

We've had several attacks here in the states, and now they're cropping up all over the world. Just today another incident in Belgium.

Two people have been killed after Belgian police raided a terrorist cell in the east of the country.

Witnesses reported hearing explosions and gunfire near a train station in the Verviers region.

Magistrate Eric Van der Sypt told reporters in Brussels today that the suspects were on the verge of committing a major terrorist attack, and that they immediately opened fire on security forces.

He said at emergency news conference that anti-terrorist raids are under way in the Brussels region and Verviers.

He said Belgium's terror alert level was raised to its second highest level.

The raid was part of an investigation into extremists returning from Syria.

Belgian authorities are looking into possible links to attacks in neighbouring France last week that killed 20 people, including three gunmen who attacked satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, a kosher supermarket and police.

Witnesses speaking on Belgium's RTBF radio described a series of explosions followed by rapid fire at the centre of Verviers, near a bakery and in the area of the train station. Video posted online of what appeared to be the raid showed a dark view of a building amid blasts, gunshots and sirens, and a fire with smoke billowing up.

RTBF said two people were killed during the raid in Verviers, a former industrial town with a large immigrant population about 80 miles) southeast of the capital, Brussels. Flemish broadcaster VRT said two were killed, one injured and one arrested.

I bet they don't allow the singing of Christmas Carols in the quad.

What does the killing of two alleged terrorists in Belgium have to do with broadcasting the Adhan for 3 min. on friday at an American university? ......

WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., says that at least ten fighters for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have been apprehended while attempting to enter the southern U.S. border.

The California Republican claims that “at least ten ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas,” in a conversation with Fox News on Tuesday. Hunter says that the Islamic terrorists are slipping into the U.S. through the porous southern border as several have already been captured.

“There’s nobody talking about it,” Rep. Hunter told Fox. “If you really want to protect Americans from ISIS, you secure the southern border. It’s that simple…They caught them at the border, therefore we know that ISIS is coming across the border. If they catch five or ten of them then you know there’s going to be dozens more that did not get caught by the border patrol.”

In August, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, warned that the open border posed an “immediate threat” for terrorist activity infiltrating the country. The government watchdog group, Judicial Watch, said ISIS terrorists were “planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born [sic] improvised explosive devices.”

ABC News reports that the FBI has arrested 20-year-old Christopher Lee Cornell of Green Township, Ohio for planning what ABC describes as “an ISIS-inspired attack on the U.S. Capitol, where he hoped to set off a series of bombs aimed at lawmakers, whom he allegedly considered enemies.”

The plan evidently involved seeding the Capitol with pipe bombs, and using guns to murder survivors of the explosions as they fled.

Cornell got on the FBI’s radar screen by praising jihad and expressing support for ISIS online:

The FBI first noticed Cornell several months ago after an informant notified the agency that Cornell was allegedly voicing support for violent “jihad” on Twitter accounts under the alias “Raheel Mahrus Ubaydah,” according to charging documents. In addition, Cornell allegedly posted statements, videos and other content expressing support for ISIS — the brutal terroristgroup also known as ISIL — that is wreaking havoc in Iraq and Syria.

“I believe that we should just wage jihad under our own orders and plan attacks and everything,” Cornell allegedly wrote in an online message to the informant in August, according to the FBI. “I believe we should meet up and make our own group in alliance with the Islamic State here and plan operations ourselves.”
