A unique type of tiny house could solve homelessness crisis among US veterans

i have seen some creative con ex boxes, including a six unit condo a few blocks away.

the advantage is these things are pretty tough and easy to ship, but yea, i'd buy one used at the switching yard and take an angle grinder to it for a few grand.
Union Electrician and a helper ( For 4 days ) and a real Plumber & septic expert and a crew of 3 For 9 days ( with heavy equipment and building supplies ) and a Framer / Drywaller -and 2 helpers for 3 -4 days and a tile man for 3 days ...
 
They used to be cheap or even abandoned; now they're trendy and expensive junk. If you like 8 foot wide rooms go for it. Other tiny house designs are just as cheap and much better.

Certainly. I've seen some of them. Wouldn't want to live in one full time, though. Even at today's material prices I could build a 12 by 20 cabin that is much more comfortable for a lot less than one of those, especially if local gov. gave me free land and utilities hook ups.
