Two democracy-meditating robots from the future, Cyclonus (a wolfish Machiavellian) and Rodimus (a sporting Utopian) travelled back into the past and engaged with a post-apocalyptic humanity wrestling with magic, metaphysics, a moon city, and metropolis. Cyclonus was pleased that seeing the past of human history gave him glimpse of the 'evolution' of democracy in the universe. Rodimus was pensive about interfering with human history, since manipulating events could dangerously alter the natural course of time. Cyclonus and Rodimus were both pensive about capitalism-analysis, since it was much more 'complex' than Communism.
Atlantis was the proposed 'heavenly-city' being built by humanity in a post-apocalyptic Earth healing its scars after a ravaging nuclear war between North Korea and America which began during the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang (South Korea) in the year 2018. The American President, Donald Trump IV, was negotiating a deal with the survivors of South Korea to help America build this ideal city called 'Atlantis' (a reference to an even older and fabled city of great ambition). Cyclonus and Rodimus realized that Trump's Atlantis represented all of the socialization 'intrigue' associated with both democracy and capitalism, since the proposed 'super-city' would be a hub of commerce and the arts!
Cyclonus noted that the proposed city of Atlantis (on Earth) would be an homage to the sporting traditions of the past (e.g., Olympics), and he realized that the American government was forging special roads to build newly-organized Ivy League schools (e.g., Harvard, Dartmouth) which would engage in special annual summer rowing competitions. Rodimus realized that these rowing competitions between the newly-organized Ivy League schools would engender ideas regarding the timeless intellectual appeal of peace-themed competitive sports and would obviously help humanity forget about the trauma of the nuclear holocaust that began during PeyongChang 2018. Cyclonus and Rodimus took photos of the rowing match between Harvard and Yale.
A strange impish creature named Lubdan, a 'leprechaun' (a forest-dwelling gnome who was a human mutated by nuclear radiation, affording him strange telepathic powers!), was hiding in Earth's forests at the time and guarding sacred pots of gold kept from the 'old Earth' from before the nuclear war (which Lubdan referred to as the Great PeyongChang Tragedy). Lubdan believed his 'pots of gold' signified an enduring metaphysical fascination with treasure and magic, and he would 'gift' the gold to any politician who could catch him. They needed only to answer Lubdan's bizarre riddle, "Why is capitalism both laborious and thrilling?"
Well, unfortunately, Atlantis was never built. However, decades later, the newest American President, Ethan Hunt, proposed a grand moon-city which would serve as a beacon of hope for democracy. Cyclonus and Rodimus realized this new proposed 'super-city' would be yet another signpost in the ongoing 'quest' to understand the real intricacies of democracy and capitalism. Rodimus felt stumped by Lubdan's riddle and realized his rival and 'friend' Cyclonus did not have the answer to it either. However, both Cyclonus and Rodimus knew that this moon-city was certainly a sign that the contouring of democracy and capitalism would forever mark the intellectual exploration of the boundaries between competition and cooperation(!).
When Cyclonus and Rodimus travelled back into the future and arrived in their own time, on their special robot-planet called Cybertron, they discussed what they saw in Earth's past and shared their photos of the Harvard-Yale rowing competition with their robot friends and elders (including the robot seer Omnius-Prime). Omnius was pleased with Cyclonus and Rodimus' 'research' and commissioned them to make a special movie about their experience; the movie would be titled A Real Wrinkle in Time! Cyclonus and Rodimus concluded that democracy (a trust-based system) needed to be 'balanced' by capitalism (a profit-based system), however, Rodimus never forgot the strange and eerie omen of Lubdan (the gold-inventing leprechaun).
