march 8 2017 The online retailer Amazon has stopped selling three Holocaust-denial books after Jewish groups voiced growing frustration that the website was giving a platform to antisemites.

Amazon has been criticised for years over the revisionist titles for sale on its website, but the recent upsurge in antisemitism across America promoted Robert Rozett, a senior official at Yad Vashem, to write to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos last month calling for immediate action.

On Wednesday morning, the three titles that Mr Rozett had complained about were unavailable for purchase. Two were not showing up in searches, and one was listed but with a note saying that it was under review and could not be bought. This was the case for both US and UK stores.

Mr Rozett said the company had taken a “positive first step” which showed that they were listening to him and other Jewish groups that echoed his demand, such as the World Jewish Congress.

Can we get past these petty games, too many people and to many facts to ignore, this is more a anti Semite issue. Ignoring genocide is the same as condoning it.

OK, we will chalk it up as a misunderstand. I think we probably agree on the topic, but perhaps I used a poor metaphor. My point was that different folks will find different things offensive or obscene and a merchant has a right to refrain from selling products that are offensive or obscene as a method of not offending those persons and clients. I personally find Holocaust deniers to be both offensive and obscene, but that of course is a subjective opinion.

I think private business should be able to sell whatever they want or don't want. It was just my opinion that they should still sell the books (short of porn and x-rated) that some people might find offensive. I was coming from the line of thought that anyone can find offense in anything. The Holocaust DID happen. If people deny they are not only obscene, they are just not very intelligent. But as offensive as I find that it would not offend me if Amazon sold the book. Its OK that they don't though. It's their business.

I also think McDonalds should bring back the McRib. Just an opinion also.

No. I've seen the actual footage by soldiers who liberated those camps. Dead bodies so thick they had to be piled in trenches by the hundreds (the Nazi's didn't have time to cremate them before they bugged out). I've seen the claw marks on the walls of the gas chambers, the enormous mountains of human hair, the piles of gold fillings and wedding bands taken from the corpses. I've read the stories of survivors. It was not a few hundred who died of the flu. Why do you think they built all those barracks?

Literally thousands of US Soldiers witnessed the depravity and results of Nazi Germany"s attempt at the "final solution" and there are Millions of eye witnesses that survived the camps and testified to what went on, we have the pictures the testimony and the German records that all prove what happened.
