Andre tipped in around 550. It's been documented and admitted by Hogan that Andre had to step on his (Hogan's) thigh in order to load his weight. A move that almost did not happen because of Andres poor mobility.
He could hardly walk at that point.

I'm not saying these men aren't tough or strong. I'm not saying they don't do some incredible acrobatic feats that normal folks could never do. As I said in the first post I made in your thread... they could literally fall off the top of a house and land on their backs and get up and walk away like it was nothing. They are in incredible physical shape for what they do... but it is all scripted. It's an act. A performance for entertainment.

I find most of the criticisms to be irrelevant and I'm thinking, big deal. Brock Lesnar went on to prove his toughness in UFC. And I've watched three wrestlers die in the ring... the last one at the hands of Rey Mysterio Jr.

Rambo wasn't "real" and neither is Arnold's Terminator character.

Wrestling provides a lot of good entertainment and the Ring of Honor roster has talent that the WWE would love to have, but even Vince can't afford 'em all. In ROH people leave the ring bleeding real blood, get real bones broken and real teeth knocked out (BTW, Mark Briscoe said it was his own brother that knocked out his teeth in a match.)

If Josh Woods and Punishment Martinez ever team up in ROH, it will turn the wrestling world upside down.

I'm sorry... IF I didn't personally know people in the business, I might be inclined to believe you. All of it is scripted 100% of the time.

I've not criticized anyone's toughness or ability to compete in other fighting sports where things aren't scripted. I've said all along, these guys are tremendous athletes who can do some amazing acrobatic stunts... but 100% of what you see is scripted. That doesn't mean that someone who accidentally dies in the ring was scripted... people have accidents all the time. Heart attacks are unexpected. Equipment fails sometimes.

And there have been RARE instances where some hot head went off script... they are generally dismissed by the promoter and never heard from again. They have to stick to the script for several reasons, safety being the most important. Most of the pratfalls require both parties to know what is taking place in order to "sell" it to the audience. That's just how it works.
