Anybody catch the jobs number this morning?

Fiction teaches you HOW to think.........

I can appreciate why you have spent your life avoiding it...

All I read before I woke up was fiction especially Stephen King. So I guess I just "punked" you yet again......
especially Stephen King.

Oh, yeah........you "punked" me good with that one.....Stephen King.....yeah......I'm in pieces.....

Dale,

You would be a star exhibit for my case in favor of Intelligent Design......but not for the reasons you will suspect.

Yeah, reading fiction from a queer like Gore Vidal makes you a real "intellectual heavyweight". I know more than you and I understand more than you....fact.

Let's just say it gets you closer than reading Stephen King......Have you read any of Vidal's works?

Burr is a remarkable piece of historical scholarship....

And what the f.... is it with you idiots and Bold Assertions?

King is an incredible writer. His book "The Stand" was a masterpiece where he described each and every character in vivid detail and the plot is a very believable given what we know about man made viruses and how cavalier the CDC is in handling them. "It" was also a very great read. His short stories that didn't necessarily deal with horror were incredibly well written and thought provoking like "Apt Pupil". Have I ever read anything by Gore Vidal? Nope and I have no plans to do so. I avoid liberal/Fabian socialist writings and leanings like the plague. I find them utterly disgusting in every shape, fashion or form.
The power elite has not had a better pawn to use than the left and they have worked them like a low dollar hooker to bring us to the place we are today.

What about Burr do you suspect is "Liberal/Fabian Socialist"?

Did you know that it was a finalist for the Pulitzer?

He lost to Thomas Pynchon......who also is never confused with Stephen King......in non-institutionalized company....

Lots and lots of authors out there and I only have so much time. I am an information junkie so I have no time for fictional accounts of history or fictional stories....but that's just me.

38 thousand jobs created. How many more immigrants is Obama bring in this year?

What is the point of discussing all of this minutiae? The fact is, that the people of the United States have done a damn fine job of recovering from near economic collapse 8 years ago. We all (or at least most of us) worked together to make it happen, and this focus on the negative in order to make hardcore partisans somehow feel good (as screwed up as their thinking is) is corrosive to our nation. My God, we've created 14 million private sector jobs, when many people (again the hardcore partisans) fell all over themselves to predict (and many hoping) Obama would destroy the economy (like a President has that kind of power). You people are doing the equivalent of bashing a team that had one bad game after 7 years of wins "see, I told you they suck". It's just ridiculous.

this recovery is Oduma's bubble that will be hung around his neck, history will tell the tale. His addition of an average a trillion a year to the U.S. debt is the only thing creating this false sense of recovery. As Winston Churchhill once stated, spending your way out of a recession is like trying to bale out a sinking boat while standing in the bucket. the only numbers that truly matter is the less than 70% work force full time employment during his time as president.

His addition of an average a trillion a year to the U.S. debt is the only thing creating this false sense of recovery.

That would be a neat trick....

Care to show us what kind of math they taught you in the service, Gunny?

First off dumbass, it's Lieutenant Colonel, and secondly, you need English lessons. I said DEBT, not Federal outlays, there is a difference in case you were wondering.

and yes, it is a TRILLION a year average: 2010 = 13 Trillion......2016 = estimated to be at 20 Trillion.

I've got some rather shocking news for you....this is a graph of the Labor Force Participation rate dating back to 1980......can you see what it never reaches?

That's right, it's gone down since Oduma was elected!!

Okay icecube, since you consider yourself so smart, explain to everyone how the overall labor force participation rate can do down (i.e. more working age adults not employed or not in a full time job) and yet the unemployment rate REPORTED by the government decreases (i.e. more working age adults employed in full time jobs)?

Yeah....whatever...

The question requires you to show the math which demonstrates that the increase in the Debt is the consequence of Obama spending policies....

Have you thought to net out the effects of the fiscal Legacy of Supply Side Idiocy, Part Deux?

It's something people who have taken an intro level macro course refer to as a "structural deficit"

Because the denominators for the two, though they sound alike, are NOT the same....a brief cruise through the BLS glossary would do you a world of good....

That's right, it's gone down since Oduma was elected!!

It's gone down since peaking........in 1999.....and since 1980 it has never exceeded 68%....

Which, as you apparently don't know, is LESS than 70%

Why would you kick LTCArmyRet when he is down?

No, better to kick you when you're down.

The labor participation rate hasn't been this low since 1979, yet we hear of all these wonderful things DumBama has done for the economy. Or is it this low because of the Verizon strike???:banana::banana::banana:

What does the graph indicate as the peak?

What has happened since that?

Do you think the people in the 70s were just a bunch of slackers?

Can you name the POTUS under whom we saw the highest avg monthly hob gains?

Yes, I can, but although public credit is usually given to this president, what is overlooked is that the policies enacted by the previous administration had already initiated an increased growth in the job market Clinton was was relegated to compromising on fiscal policies the Republican held congress passed for the remainder of his time in office as the Republicans held control of congress for the last 6 years of his presidency. The congress is responsible for our fiscal condition.

For the past 7 years our Senate has been the most inept and non-performing group ever elected to office by not passing one single budget. Everyone of them approved by the House died in the Senate. This has allowed this presidential administration to spend with NO controls on limiting or even dictating what the funds are spent on. Who has controlled the Senate for all but two years? the dumbocrats lead by Harry Reid himself.

You see, Ray, leftards want you to listen and watch leftard news because you need to be indoctrinated into leftardism.

Here's a deal.....you stipulate to how much time you spend ogling Drudge, or any of the other Rube Aggregators, and I will tell you exactly how much time I spend with any list of 6 sources of "leftard news". Are we good?

I don't spend ANY time on Drudge's website and what do you consider "Rube Aggregators"???? Anything that doesn't push the leftard clown posse agenda? Youtube has thousands upon thousands of lectures and documentaries from accredited researchers and authors like Antony Sutton, interviews with former KGB agents that defected like Yuri Bezmenov. Listened to an incredible interview with Major George Jordan that kept a detailed account of how USA.INC opened up the patent office to the commies and actually gave them printing plates so they could print currency. Yeah, you could say that I would make "mince meat" out of you in a debate as to what is really going on. It's fucking SICKENING and it's worse than you could even fathom. I download books like "None Dare Call It A Conspiracy" b y Gary Allen, "Confessions Of An Economic Hitman" by John Perkins, "Pawns In The Game" by William Guy Carr, Tragedy and Hope" by Carroll Quigley, etc, etc......what about you? What was the last book YOU read? I have done the work and put in the effort to know what I know so I'll be damned if I will "pussyfoot" around with some piker like you....get it???

The most recent one I completed was The Getaway, by Jim Thompson.....you may have heard of the movie...

Am putting the finishing touches on Thieves Fall Out.......I was interested to see what Gore Vidal did with the pulp fiction metier.....I gotta pick something good for this week (I am giving myself that pleasure) before I put in another 200 hours preparing for a charter exam in September (having just put in 300 preparing to take the test I sat for this weekend)...

Can't decide whether I should powerplow through Mason&Dixon, by Pynchon, one of Vidal's historical novels, or maybe something from the Donald Goines oeuvre......any recommendations?

Fictional books?????? How and the fuck does that give you an idea on what is really going on?

Fiction teaches you HOW to think.........

I can appreciate why you have spent your life avoiding it...

Fiction is nice for dreaming about an Idealic world, however, it does little in providing solutions in REALITY.

How is the lying left going to spin just 38k of new jobs? I guess the next president is going to have to clean up Obama's mess.

What do you get when you add 65 to 1945?

10,000 people reaching retirement age, EVERY DAY....

When did the labor Dept start "cooking numbers"?

In what language is "a record setting stretch of growth in Private sector employment" a "mess"?

WOW, now I know where the idiocy is coming from, you need to take more than your intro level macro course, I have my MBA, maybe you should get yours. Since you are a believer in structural deficit for the government, maybe now you need to study the economies of Greece and Ireland and maybe you will start to understand why their economies needed HUGE bailouts and severe cutbacks just to remain even remotely solvent. Structural deficit originated in the PUBLIC sector as a fiscal methodology, yet it is acknowledged that it must be counter balanced by cyclic revenue generation to remain solvent. Never was it intended to be a overriding principle in government spending and has proven to be unsustainable.
