Yes every politician taking the vaccine is cutting the line. It should go hospital workers like my sister first and then the elderly followed by all those with preexisting conditions. AOC taking the vaccine will haze zero affect on the public’s confidence in the vaccine. We live in an era of misinformation and conspiracy theories, so of course that’s an issue. I don’t see how giving AOC the COVID vaccine is going to help with that. As far as people getting sick, I know that and it’s unfortunate, but not uncommon will virtually any vaccine. Furthermore in rare cases a COVID vaccine might kill you, but It’s extremely rare and you have more of a change of catching COVID and dying from it than the tiny fraction of the chance the vaccine killing you. The vaccine is approved by the FDA and safe. Enough people will take it to where we achieve herd immunity. The problem is the vaccine is scarce and we 30 year old idiots like AOC cutting the line.
