Are Christians Political Chumps for voting Republican?

Christian Nation, Founded by Christians. The Founding Fathers should have made the US a Christian State much the same that Israel is a Jewish State, Saudi Arabia a Muslim State, and Cuba, a State- State. The Founding Fathers were so considerate to be inclusive of all Religions and non Religions. What that facilitated was an all out assault against Christians in the US. IMHO, The US should have been officially a Christian state Religion while welcoming all non Christian Religions and atheists.

That is just so wrong. More than a few founders were Deists, most were Christians but they were very aware of the Church of England and wanted to prevent anything similar from happening here. Government religions never end well. I don't know how Christians have been persecuted here, can you elaborate?
