I am not a particular fan of “polling.” I question its validity. I question the methodologies employed. And I certainly question their value several months before an election.
True. The best use of polling is to take polling results from one election contrasted to the actual outcome, then reflect that against similar polling taken in the next election from the same polling place using the same methods to compare the differences to project how THAT election will do!
And using those methods as per the OP, Trump is doing much better at this point than he was in 2020 when he got 75 million votes! Add to that the fact that he is leading in 5 swing states and neck and neck in the others.
Harris has lost much of her bump from announcing her running and continued exposure to questioning, interviews and debates (or her running from them and hiding after calling Trump out to debate her) can only add to her demise.
