Are walls racist?

Walls are not racist.

They are overly-simplistic band aids applied by people who refuse to see a bigger picture, but they are not racist.

Walls work. The evidence is irrefutable. "Simplistic" is a word people use when they don't have a good argument against something they don't like.
You do know that walls can be torn down, too, right?

And can you think of any adverse effects a wall would have, or any problems the wall would not solve?
.

The wall won't solve the problem of Democrats getting elected to Congress, at least not entirely. How would any politicians get away with tearing down the wall? What would be their justification? Why would Congress appropriate money for such a project?
. Why would they appropriate money for a wall if knowing that it won't solve the inward problem creating the draw to begin with ??

It solves the problem of illegals getting across the border, numskull. Having jobs and a high standard of living isn't a "problem."
As you can see here, the wall is actually non affective at stopping the crossing, but the enforcement of the border is. A fence would have been just as effective if the enforcement is in place to stop the onslaught.

Then there is the draw on the inside that also needs addressed... These people are incentivised to come here or else they wouldn't come.

I ask why haven't we done anything to Mexico for creating a poor population that ends up running for our border because they are so bad there ??

That isn't the american border. That's obviously somewhere in Africa, and no one is watching that wall.

No one is proposing to build the wall and then walk away leaving it ungaurded. Yet, all the criticism of the wall rely on exactly that. That's how we know they are disengenuous. Even if the wall doesn't work, what's the harm in building it? $20 billion over 8 years is nothing compared to total government spending. In 8 years the federal government will spend about $32 trlllion dollars.

Build the fucking wall.

Yes it does matter, because it matters who is managing it. Your point is idiotic. Yeah, if you don't gaurd the wall, then people will be able to climb over it. Simple solution: gaurd the wall.

What do you propose doing to Mexico?
Sanctions, why not ?

How will that help?
. Like any problem to be solved, it has to be multi-layered or have a multi-pronged attack strategy involved. Mexico shouldn't get off lightly.

. My point is, is that fortress strategies went out with the dark ages. We know what the problem is, but don't have the political will to fix it correctly.

Indeed, in Israel for example we can observe that walls do not work.

Are you being facetious? The Israeli wall works fabulously well.

. Yeah, they (Israels enemies) just shoot katusha rockets over it, so the strategy had to be that Israeli intelligence had to infiltrate beyond their borders to stop the problem. And if they had inward problems, they would have to deal with that as well.
