Shouldn't essential workers be getting hazardous pay for being forced to work while others stay home, and are supposedly being safer at home ???????????????????

Where are the essential workers pay for exposing themselves to the possibility of contracting this thing, and worse bringing it home to their families unaware ??

Things aren't being handled correctly if you ask me in this area. I know money isn't the answer, and safety is, but recognizing those that go above and beyond has always been an American trend. And quarantine is being highly selective it appears, where winners and losers are being picked in this thing.

The numbers of cases are staggering since the thing got here, and the number of deaths ain't good. If we are going to beat this thing, then let's do the right thing for all, and let's make sure that those having to be exposed are being protected as best as possible. Thanking an essential worker is in order, just stay 6' away when doing so. :)

Managing the safety of essential workers and their work environment is essential with common sense and serious thought.

Allowing the chaotic gathering of people without regard to their exposure is criminal in my opinion. Exposing people for reasons of greed is also criminal in my opinion. Everything MUST be managed correctly. What part of this don't people understand ??

You want Congress to be able to cash out on this issue?

Starting Monday at midnight the entire KC metro is on lockdown except for "essential" workers.
Thankfully construction projects are considered essential so I will be able to continue my work.

I think some grocery chains and some retail are paying bonuses to work.

Voluntary. Most are kinda self quarantining. I'd say 90%. I went to the hardware yesterday and bought some 1 x 1 box tube and a sheet of 1/8 black plate. Angie was wearing a mask and gloves at the cash register and Rafa(the owner) and I greeted with a fist bump. Then I hit the bank and the doorman sprayed everyone hands and forearms with some blue crap, likely clorhexadine. Eight windows so 2-3 walk out and 2-3 more enter their place. One gal wiped the counter(s) where the previous was and said: Go ahead.
Most bank online.
It's not law. The bank decided it was simple and might help. The inside seating was stacked in the corners
Our banks aren't allowing anyone in the building. Drive through only.
LOL. Drive through anything is non-existent here. Walk up ATM is closed because those are filthy anyway but debit can be done anywhere they accept a debit card for sales. You can pay electric, phone, internet....anything.... anywhere.
Here you can go to the fish monger, next door for baked bread, next to that is Jack Daniels, next to that is fruit/veg stand and next to that a pharmacy.Hardware,NAPA, bank and gas across and a block down.

i believe by declaring this a national emergancy - some of that money that will be allocated will go to those 'essential' workers for day care etc, because young kids are home from school thus freeing them up to work.

I am under a dem panic. or is it a pan demic, I get them mixed up.

They should, because that is on the front lines in my opinion. The grocery stores especially. Tell us what you see when going into a grocery store, are the employee's being protected ?????

The local golf course may shut down some what
They said they'll close the club house but they will leave the gate open so members can come and play.
I will probably play as a single rather than with my friends
Burley has reported 4 cases, which sent my one kidney wife into a panic.

Stores are putting up signs requesting customers use their cards instead of cash, if they can. I had taken out a good sized pile of cash before that thought struck me, so I use my hand sanitizer after each touch. When it's gone, I'm going to switch to my check card. Of course, I'm still pushing buttons, but it's only one sanitizer round that way--I won't have a wallet full of potentially breeding virus. I'm a little disappointed that not a single store around here has sanitizer at the checkout for us all to use during those transactions. Maybe they couldn't find any, either. I had to scarf some from the office the day before we closed. Filled a little bottle and that's all I've got.

Can't answer. If I do answer, then the universe will laugh.............and laugh...............and laugh.

Amazing how Americans are so will to give up there Freedom.
Government over reaction

It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If’n you don’t know by know
And it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It’ll never do here no how

When our Covid numbers are all tipped
Lockout your biz, and jobs be gone
You're handed the ‘ooOOOol pink slip
Don't think twice, it's all right.

It ain't no use in turnin’ pinko lite, babe
That's because they can’t be hired
And it ain't no use askin' for a W9, babe
nuthin' they say will get us fired

But I know there's nuthin' you could do or say
Because they print dead presidents everyday
At least I’ll not do much invoicing this way
So don't think twice, it's all right.

It ain't no use in calling out it's name, gal
Like so many done before
It ain't no use in calling out it's name, gal
I can't hear you any more

We’re all headed down that socialist road
Well I wish there was something I could do or say
Looks like all our freedoms are just pissed away
Don't think twice, it's all right.

If I get locked down for two weeks and I die, it won’t be the Coronavirus that killed me.
