I suggest you do some research on what SYG really is, because obviously you have the wrong understanding of it.

Our state is starting our SYG law next month. Currently, if somebody doesn't like my driving, and starts yelling at me from his car, by law, if I yell back and it escalates, I am no longer allowed to use my weapon if he decides to physically attack me. If I do use my weapon now, I can be charged with murder if I shoot and kill him simply because I have a duty to retreat. Next month that all changes. If somebody gives me the finger on the road, I can give it right back. If that person decides to take it to the next level and I fear serious bodily harm or death, I can then use deadly force.

Constitutional amendments need only to be ratified by 37 states. If thirty-five states have stand your ground laws, two more doesn't sound insurmountable. The biggest hurdle would be getting the house to hear it--2022 is not so far away.

The entire Congress would have to submit an amendment, and that takes 2/3 of them.
