The mother of Ashli Babbitt, Micki Witthoeft, was arrested by U.S. Capitol Police at a protest Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C. marking the second anniversary of her daughter’s killing by Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd during the January 6th riot. (Update at end.)​

Around 1:45 p.m., the woman was arrested for two Capitol Traffic Regulations – §16.3.20 Obey An Order, as well as §16.3.40 Blocking And Obstructing Roadways. The person was identified as 58 year old Micki Witthoeft.​

Her mom was cited and released for a traffic violation. She was NOT arrested for holding a memorial. That's a straight out lie.
Babbit demonstrably did something wrong. Someone obviously felt threatened..and the law agrees.
Again, had Ashley been at home, she would be alive. Decisions have real-world consequences..she made a fatal decision to partake in a riot.

She did not get arrested for jaywalking. Jaywalking is not an arrestable offense. (seriously, you didn't understand this)?

She was asked multiple times to get out of the road. She then proceeded to stand in the road until she was arrested. A valid protest tactic. (Civil disobedience) Without the arrest, this never would have made the news.
