Actually, it hasn't been teachers who are running scared. Its the rw gun nuts who want guns in our schools. I don't believe it will ever happen and I certainly hope it does not but if the NRA and its members want guns in our schools, then its up to them to pay for them.

Then they can pay to have armed guards in every other building in the country.

You must have missed my post on another thread, most all the larger school systems here already have their own police departments as well as the colleges, and yes they are accredited and armed.

Cops can't be everywhere and he assumes no legal liability if a gang banger comes in with a gun and shoots me. The best recent example I can think of is an incident that happened at an Auto Zone. A bad guy came into a store with a gun, an employee fearing for his manager went to his car and got his gun, ran off the bad guy without firing a shot and promptly got fired for his efforts. The employee who was outside, went back in for his manager, placing his own life in danger and the famous liberal idea of zero tolerance for employees having a gun in the store cost him his job. You won't see me doing business with a company like that.
