Companies losing grandfather status will not result in cancelled insurance for 93 million Americans. It will not result in cancelled insurance for the "34% to 64% of large plans [that] would lose their grandfather status" or for the "49% to 80% of small employers" that would.
Those numbers were wild guesstimates, by the way. No one has produced the actual figures of companies that lost their grandfather status between 2011 and 2013, which is the HHS timeframe used.
Many companies have lost their grandfather status during that period, yes. But 93 million employees have not lost their insurance.
