Attorney for Pres. Trump: IRS cannot release president’s tax returns | One America News Network
A lawyer for President Trump has bad news for congressional Democrats crusading to release the president’s tax returns.

Awww doesn't that get you democratic twats panties in a bunch. Must mean it's time to dream up some more bs lies with Russia again.
Why do you think a rich tax dodger is above the law?

Trump Lawyer Asserts President’s Right to Keep Tax Returns Private

"The little known tax code provision employed by the Democrats in demanding Mr. Trump’s returns says only that the Internal Revenue Service 'shall furnish' the information, giving it and its parent agency, the Treasury Department, little leeway in deciding how to respond."

The Democrat Party really doesn't have a legitimate legislative purpose at all, they do however have a legitimate partisan political purpose.

The problem the Democrats have is that Trump's tax return would only be the first. I'm sure a lot of people would be anxious to see Soros' tax return or Tom Steyers' or the Pelosi family's. These are BIG contributors to the socialist cause, and I'm sure that the socialist candidates that they support are interested in making sure their sugar daddies are corruption free.

Should Soros or Steyers or Pelosi run for POTUS they would release their tax returns just as Ford, Carter, Reagan, both Bushes, Clinton, and Obama did. What is Trump hiding?

The request for President Trump's tax return is a Beriaesque fishing expedition, looking for anything that could be spun as a crime.

President Trump isn't "hiding" a dam thing, and no, he doesn't have to prove anything to his enemies. The point is that the law allows ANYONE's tax return to be revealed by the Senate Finance chair. Do Soros, Steyers and Pelosi have something to hide? What problem would they have? The former two are MAJOR liberal donors, Pelosi has a very high position in government, why shouldn't the people see their business too?

Every president since Nixon has released his tax returns to the American public without being forced to do so. Trump has refused to follow precedent. A majority of voters want Trump's tax returns revealed, so I'm unclear why you think a life-long con man who lies daily on issues large and small should continue to obstruct the public from learning the truth in this matter?

Trump has cheated on his tax responsibilities in the past as documented by a pair of civil judgments and his infamous "empty box" scam which allowed him to defraud New York of thousands of dollars in sales tax.

A majority of Americans want him to release his taxes, yet a small, noisy minority seem threatened by the prospect.

Why is that?

Trump Family Foundation to Face Criminal Charges? | DCReport.org

"The Trump Foundation case meets every federal standard for criminal prosecution. The behavior is significant in terms of dollars, it involved many actions over many years and was flagrant and multi-faceted with explanations that lack credibility.

"It also meets the Justice Department’s general deterrence standard, which includes bringing cases that will encourage broad compliance because they are high profile prosecutions."

Russian criminals and others should not be allowed to launder their ill-gotten gains through Trump's real estate connections, right?

Buyers tied to Russia, former Soviet republics paid $109 million cash for Trump properties

"Aleksandr Burman, a Ukrainian who engaged in a health care scheme that cost the federal government $26 million and was sentenced to a decade in prison, paid $725,000 cash for a condo at a Trump Tower I in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. in 2009.

"Leonid Zeldovich, who has reportedly done extensive business in the Russian-annexed area of Crimea, bought four Trump units outright at a cost of more than $4.35 million, three of them in New York City between 2007 and 2010.

"And Igor Romashov, who served as chairman of the board of Transoil, a Russian oil transport company subject to U.S. sanctions, paid $620,000 upfront for a unit at a building adorned with the future U.S. president's name in Sunny Isles Beach in 2010."
Yeah, ummm....so is it illegal to sell Russians real estate or not?
Oh, and you "forgot" to document those claims of money laundering.

I wouldn't release my tax returns and neither would anyone else.

Lefty loons are bat shit crazy.

Every candidate for president since Nixon has released their tax return so your statement that neither would anyone else is nothing but a lie.

Oh but they didn't have to release them. They made the decision TO release them.

You are nothing but a lie.
That's right...because they had nothing to hide....unlike donnie.

It's funny how that conservative just lies without even realizing it.

When that poster stated they wouldn't release their taxes and neither would anyone else, it made a fool of itself because we all know that all candidates for president since nixon have released them.

It's sad that we have such liars in our nation.

Of course they released them because they WANTED to release them. Nobody said they had to nor could they be forced to.

Its so sad we have so many lefty loon idiots in our nation.

You sure are one whinny little shit.

Documentation begins with Trump's tax returns. Selling multi-million dollar properties for all cash characteristically raises red flags for possible criminal activities.

Add to that Trump's well documented penchant for lying about issues large and small, and only Republicans who don't care about the rule of law would not want to see his taxes turned over to congress.

Is It Worth It For Congress To Obtain Trump’s Tax Returns By Force?

"Are there legitimate legislative purposes for releasing President Trump’s tax returns? That depends on who you ask.

"People would want to know whether the President received substantial income from other countries, particularly Russia.

"Others would want to know whether the President still has substantial income from his vast real estate holdings, which some have speculated could create a conflict of interest."

Trump's attorney is wrong.

Thanks to Warren G. Harding and the Teapot Dome scandal, a president's tax returns can be reviewed by Congress under this law: 26 U.S. Code § 6103 - Confidentiality and disclosure of returns and return information
Odd that chairman Richard Neal of the House Ways and Means Committee never cited this impressive find of yours.

Trump Rising

I’ve been waiting for President Trump’s approval rating to rise in the wake of the collapse of the Mueller investigation. That now seems to be happening, as Rasmussen Reports finds him at 53% approval, 45% disapproval, for a healthy +8 margin. It is also noteworthy that Trump’s “strong approval” now exceeds his “strong disapproval” by one point, something that rarely happened with Barack Obama.

Trump’s rising approval may also be related to voters getting a look at the Democratic presidential candidates. As voters hear the Democrats talk about reparations, the border and the Green New Deal, Trump probably looks better and better.

It is too early to tell whether Trump’s recent bounce is the beginning of a long-term trend or a temporary blip. I’m hoping for the former.

Indeed. A few of us here have been pointing this out for quite some time. And the Progs will not limit this tactic to Trump. In the end, we'll all be subject to it...even the Progs who expect to be eaten least.
