Average, everyday Americans are not smart/informed enough to understand public policy

Issues like economics, healthcare policy, or the complexity of congress evaluating and passing bills go way over Americanā€™s heads.

That's pretty evident based on what you write here

And that belief is why your party should never be in leadership again.
The problem is that you are misinterpreting what I mean by that.

Then by all means, elaborate please. It's no secret Democrats are control freaks, and your comment seems to have supported that position. We need Democrats to control people because they are incapable of controlling themselves.
When I reference ā€œbend overā€ from that quote, Iā€™m not talking about controlling your lives in a totalitarianism sense. Iā€™m just talking about accepting American leftwing policy because it is whatā€™s objectively better for this country.

In your opinion.

The problem is I don't agree with you.

I don't think taking wealth away from the rich will help the poor.
I don't think that disarming the public will solve our crime problems.
I don't think that promoting irresponsibility will result in more responsible people.
I don't think that putting more people on the dole will make them want to work more.
I don't think that taxing businesses will make them want to invest more or hire more people.

Those are all liberal philosophies.
Lol actually they really arenā€™t. None of those are. When do liberals ever say they want to confiscate guns and prefer people be on welfare? NEVER.

They don't have to say it, they act on it.

The only thing stopping Democrats from taking our guns is the US Constitution and the judges that protect it. In the past, they have suggested idiotic things like forced insurance protection for gun owners, taxing ammunition, holding gun manufacturers liable for murders which of course would put them out of business, and let's not forget the assault weapons ban.

Each base would like to "expand their tent" and the two largest Democrat support groups are government dependents and victims. It only makes sense from a political prospective to create more of them. Once again, DumBama crated over 40 million new government dependents between Commie Care and food stamps alone, and that was no accident.

Let me give you an example of a real solution to a climate change problem. As the world gets hotter, mosquitos are going to become more frequent. Mosquitos carry disease. This will cause a spike in the world over and response to such a threat may not be adequate which threatens our species. What we can do is implement policies like better surveillance of outbreaks and reducing the mosquito population through proven methods.

Cutting O2 emissions is basically too late of a solution although cutting them down would slow the pace of destructive climate change even if it is inevitable.
So, a potential malaria pandemic

What else?
Um yeah and many other types of pandemics as well.

Sea level rise is another example. It is estimated the eastern coast line will rise by a few feet above current levels in a few decades. This will make the east coast uninhabitable in its current form.

Ocean life is dying because CO2 is acidifying the oceans. This threatens our food supply.

VIDEO: ABC 7 years ago, predicting NYC would be under water in 2015 because of global warming

You ask, I provide. November 2nd, 1922. Arctic Ocean Getting Warm; Seals Vanish and Icebergs Melt.

Study: Global warming will cause 180,000 more rapes by 2099

Number of hurricanes reaches 30-year low

And Thatā€™s the Way It Was: In 1972, Cronkite Warned of ā€˜New Ice Ageā€™
How am I supposed to be swayed when you cherry pick crap like this? Yes, predictions do fail in science sometimes. It doesnā€™t fucking mean the entire phenomenon isnā€™t happening. It doesnā€™t mean that there hasnā€™t been data thatā€™s shown global average temperatures have risen in the past several decades at an alarming rate. It doesnā€™t mean that we arenā€™t in the middle of a mass extinction event where ocean life is dying at a terrifying rate.

Of course you really look dumb posting something from 1922.

I posted something from 1922 to show how stupid it looks today.

It's not that some predictions are wrong, it's that all of them are wrong. Global warming models are wrong over 90% of the time.

The thing is that you can't make an environmentalist happy. It just isn't possible. We've been trying most of my life, and they are more miserable today than they were 40 years ago.

Saving the planet is a bottomless money pit. There isn't enough money to fill it.

Issues like economics, healthcare policy, or the complexity of congress evaluating and passing bills go way over Americanā€™s heads.

Americans tend to hold political opinions that are based on intuitive thinking rather than an informed opinion. For example, it intuitively makes sense for welfare participants to be drug tested as a condition of qualification. The actual facts make this solution stupid, however. For one thing, drug use among recipients of SNAP or TANF is statistically low and the cost of implementing this policy is very expensive. It would accomplish mostly nothing. Moreover, programs like Medicare and Medicaid are also considered ā€œwelfareā€. Are we really going to test all of those people?

Another example is the bullshit myth of trickle down economics. Intuitively, it makes sense to give tax breaks to corporations because it would make logical sense for them to invest the money they save into labor. The problem with this is that corporations are already wealthier than ever before! There is no incentive for these corporations to invest the money because itā€™s just easier to keep it. A booming stock market also means dick as far as expecting jobs to be created or wages to be raised. Get it? Itā€™s simple logic if you actually knew some basic facts.

My overall point is this: the downside of a democratic process is that stupid people who have no idea what theyā€™re talking about are allowed to vote on candidates and policy. I mean shit, most Americans canā€™t even name all 3 branches of government!
and of course you are not one of these stupid people, right billy?....
Yep, me and most other liberals.
There are several hundred videos on youtube that prove that assertion insanely wrong.
And double the amount of videos proving how stupid conservatives are. In fact, you can find hundreds of liberals speaking intelligently.

As a mathematician I will have to intervene here. There are thousands and thousands, maybe even uncountable amount of videos that prove him to be completely delusional.
Oh how cute. Your mom told you were a mathematician and now you have to tell the world!

In Billy's world he thinks people like Maxine waters, Pocahontas, Nancy "insider trading " Pelosi are geniuses and should never be questioned.
Nope, I have never said that about any of those people.

Look at your OP tard .....

Yes you can find them speaking intelligently and not being able to name the state capitol or on the phone with a lock smith because the dumb fuck locked his liberal wife in the car (again)

Typical far left thinking. The masses are too stupid, so letā€™s just pick a Dear Leader to keep us safe.

North Korea sounds like your place.

Sad but truth. American's understanding of their government, politics, and policy is near zero. That's why we have a psycho in the white house and a congress full of charlatans.

No there are more videos of Liberal ignorance and very few intelligent ones. In fact youtube has tried leveling the field by demonetising the Conservative voices and rating them as adult. The few liberal channels do not get the same treatment.

Nominating the social experiment didn't work out the way you wanted?

Thats why i wish it never changed from requiring property ownership to vote.
I don't agree with the property ownership requirement because it goes against the principle of government by consent of the governed. That said, why weren't property owners who were women allowed to vote?
Because of the way they looked at women, i assume.
