Until the 1970's the editors were picked on the basis of grades, and the president of the Law Review was the student with the highest academic rank. Among these were Elliot L. Richardson, the former Attorney General, and Irwin Griswold, a dean of the Harvard Law School and Solicitor General under Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon.

That system came under attack in the 1970's and was replaced by a program in which about half the editors are chosen for their grades and the other half are chosen by fellow students after a special writing competition. The new system, disputed when it began, was meant to help insure that minority students became editors of The Law Review.

We are still waiting for Hussaine to release his college records. If they are not tampered with using photoshop, they will answer a lot of questions.

Like what? Where are Trump's college records?

I want to know what's in Trump's divorce proceedings. That should tell a lot about his character.

Had not white males treated blacks like second class citizens, there would have been no need for affirmative action, same with how white males treated white women...

You people can bitch about Obama all you want but the fact remains that he's accomplished more in his life than any of you losers will ever hope to.

Remember that slavery started in africa...blacks selling and owning other blacks AND in this country, right on through the civil war. So this nonsense about affirmative action is laughable.

Prime example of when certain groups can't live up to the standards in place, rather than working harder to be the best, the standards are changed to appease them.

Is being allowed to do something because of the color of your skin really an accomplishment?

The only reason for affirmative action is because blacks couldn't meet the standards. It's just another example of a program pushed by a group that wants people to be judged by the content of their character until doing so produces results they don't like. That's when judging by the color of their skin is OK. The problem with affirmative action is it uses something that if done to deny would be considered wrong by those that support using it to benefit.

Trump didn't run on his innate brilliance in college, R-Derp...whereas Barry's whole life has been built upon his selection as the first black President of the Harvard Law Review. It's how he got his book deal that made him millions...it's how he got the job at the prestigious law firm in Chicago...it's how he got the teaching position at the University of Chicago...it's how he got elected to the State Senate in Illinois. To be brutally honest, if Harvard hadn't been determined to combat claims it discriminated against people of color there is no way on God's green earth that Barack Obama becomes President of the Law Review. If they hadn't changed the criteria of how the President of the Law Review was chosen he wouldn't have even been considered. There is a reason that Barack Obama has never released his college transcripts despite claiming to this "great mind" and it's that a careful examination of what he took back then would reveal that his college world consisted of classes and professors that rewarded students for the color of their skin rather than the quality of their academic work! It's why he's the only President of the Law Review never to publish in the Law Review. It's why he was a figure head as a lawyer. It's why he never published an academic work as a college "lecturer" or even attempted to become a professor. It's why he couldn't pass a single piece of legislation he wrote the first two years he was in the Illinois State Senate and was so pathetic at writing legislation that his entire career as a legislator has consisted of him putting his name on bills that have been written by others.

Barack Obama is a creature invented by an Affirmative Action culture and the Emile Jones Chicago political machine and sustained by a main stream media who bought into the hype.
