I think it's a bigger part of it than most realize. I have liberal friends who say they get 'objective' news because they listen to NPR. When I suggested they take in Fox, Rush, Hannity, PJ Media and other alternate news sources they scoffed at it. They are being told that any dissenting points of view are not reliable and even laughable. Very sad to see my normally sane friends get so politically loony.

That's because the Left knows that if people start listening to sources like Fox, even to just check them out, they will hear a side of the story completely at odds with what they've been told and the truth has an inherent ring of truth to it.
