The Democrats wanted to be left of centre, then they got into "micro-aggression" and focused on social controls that targeted religious groups and anyone who was right of centre. Now, they have a major problem on their hands, for if Bernie splits and decides to bring socialism to the forefront, they may gain a few populist voters who supported Trump but they will lose many of their traditional democrats.

This also places additional pressure on Trump to make sure he balances trade deals with fairness. The people who support Bernie will desire heavy taxes on the rich and businesses and ultimately they will become extreme isolationists in foreign policy and in trade.

This is why Paul Ryans pursuit of border tariffs is not only smart in regards to balancing unfair trade, but it takes away a major source of ammo for the Bolshevik Bernie.

There are those that backed those policies or supported those policies or profited from those policies both abroad and at home. Removing Hillary does not mean those Hillary policies are gone. It simply means a new puppet. Or two.

The democrat party has gone from a viable political organization to a leaderless mob that lost the presidency, both houses of congress, most governors and about 3,000 state and local elections in less than a decade. If Bernie is right and the democrat core favors socialism the party is through forever.
