Best Protest on Obamacare in History: Ted Cruz will talk until he drops

Cruz grandstands all night and then votes for it first chance he gets

What a douchebag

What would you be calling him if he hadn't tried to live up to his promise to his constituents to try everything in his power to stop Obamacare?

You'd be calling him a lying piece of shit who reneged on his promise wouldn't you?

You'd be calling him chickenshit for not standing up and fighting for his voters wishes, wouldn't you?

You'd be calling him a wimp and a pussy for not fighting back against the RINO's in the Senate.

You'd call him names no matter what he did because you don't like him.

BINGO!!!!!

Give the girl a massage!!!

Wait, im confused. He voted for clocher or however you spell it?

Yes, Cruz (and all other 99 senators) voted in favor of invoking cloture to begin debate on the House bill. The Senate has 30 hours before they can invoke cloture to end the debate. This is where Cruz will vote no, because ending debate means that Democrats can introduce an amendment stripping the bill of the defunding language, which only needs a majority vote to pass. So Senate Republicans will have to filibuster the vote to end debate, but a number of Senate Republicans have already expressed reservations about shutting down the government in this way and it's unlikely that Cruz's voting block can prevent a 60-vote override of the filibuster they likely plan on staging.

It's all smoke and mirrors so that he can run to his base and claim that he did everything he could to stop Senate Democrats.

His base, and about %53 of the voters overall IIRC want this obortion gotten rid of. It's a horrible program and everyone except mindless bed wetting drones know it.

I'm convinced the republicrats are going to let it go through with token resistance, so that when it fails (which it is design to do no doubt) the democrooks will desperately attempt to blame "tea party anarchists", whoever the fuck they are.

No. You are wrong. Congress is most certainly not exempt from the ACA.

Running to his base?

Living up to a campaign promise is now running to his base just to make a claim?

You are a fucking asshole.

Cruz promised his constituents he would try everything to stop Obamacare and he has you partisan hack.

Obama exempted them in Aug.
Under behind-the-scenes pressure from members of Congress in both parties, President Obama used the quiet of the August recess to personally order the Office of Personnel Management, which supervises federal employment issues, to interpret the law so as to retain the generous congressional benefits.

Federal Employees Health Benefit has not dropped Congress. Just because business is acting like assholes is no reason for Congress and Federal Employees to pay the price

After Cruz finished speaking, all 100 senators voted for cloture to advance the bill — even Cruz. In other words, that means Cruz spent 21 hours railing against ObamaCare and pleading with his colleagues to block the bill — even comparing those who said it could not be done to Nazi appeasers — only to turn around and do the opposite.

Is Cruz a bed wetter or what?

Ted Cruz is a bumbling buffoon.

what a pathetic and comical way to start his 2016 campaign.

:)

I'm calling Ted Cruz's bluff here. This wasn't even a filibuster, but a political stunt to drum up support for a possible presidential run. It served literally no purpose whatsoever. All the Republicans can get angry at me if they want to, but I deal in reality, not delusion.

It's easy to reach that conclusion. He can't do anything to delay the inevitable vote.

I still applaud him for his stunt. If he makes a run at the WH, I'm all for it. If we don't get a hard core right wing president after we're finally rid of the moonbat messiah there's no way we're going to see the leftist damage reversed, or even see the leftist buearucrats removed from their offices.

A "moderate" republicrat will do nothing to repair what the democrook party has done in the last 7 years with their RINO cohorts.

Be careful, Pete. If we do get a "hard right" president, he could be just as bad as Obama. You need to be wary of that.

I'm calling Ted Cruz's bluff here. This wasn't even a filibuster, but a political stunt to drum up support for a possible presidential run. It served literally no purpose whatsoever. All the Republicans can get angry at me if they want to, but I deal in reality, not delusion.

no honest person fillibusters a bill that they end up voting for.

what Ted Cruz did was abuse the Senate for his own personal ambitions.

no, Mr. Cruz, the Senate is not your fucking sandbox!!!

For crying out loud he wasn't on the floor over the bill. It was over Obamacare. Plain and simple.

And the Senate is for representatives of all the voters of the United States of America.

Not just Harry Reid's. Not just John McCain's. Not just for any one in particular.

Senator Cruz took to the floor to fulfill a campaign promise. Something rarely seen in Washington these days.

I admire Senator Durbin because he went in last night and debated with Cruz on what he believes are the benefits of Obamacare.

This is not Rome.

And these Senators who have placed themselves on pedestals by declaring themselves Senior Senators should be admonished for attempting to rule the Senate as if it was their own playground.

Cruz, Durbin, Lee and Paul should be admired not derided. Not told that they can't have a voice.

What kind of madness is this to claim that Cruz abused the Senate.

The Senate belongs only to the people of America not to an "elite inside the beltway" few.

For shame.
