Biden & Democrats Refuse Talks To Halt Government Shutdown

In a bipartisan vote, the Senate has already approved a measure to keep the Government open

There are more than enough votes in the House to keep Government open……..McCarthy, afraid of MAGA, refuses to allow a vote

Trump blew up the deficit because he slashed taxes on the wealthy and corporations
Trump ran trillion dollar deficits in a strong economy
/---/ Only Congress can cut or raise taxes. So why didn't democRATs raise taxes back up?

They won't even talk. Zero, zip, nada. Republicans have run up against a brick wall. You can't negotiate a deal with a side that refuses to even talk. The biggest part for Democrats is that even as the illegal immigrant crisis has reached epic proportions Democrats refuse to even talk about how to stop it, even as their very own cities are begging for help to stop it.

You are the stupidest motherfucker that I have seen. The Senate will pass a bipartisan bill this weekend to0 keep the government open.

Why won’t the dems at least agree to drop the omnibus?

The Dems sent a package to the McCarthy. He won't accept it. It's on the GOP.
The Dems seem to forget that the people elected the members of House, their ELECTED representatives, and expect them to be responsible. To just rubber stamp the insane spending that the Dems have been handing down is NOT responsible.

Only the most clueless and perhaps partisan meanspirited among us would suggest the House majority has no right to demand the Dems at least make an attempt to negotiate what policy and spending will be.

Not for you. The Senate package was bi-partisan. See how that works.
Responsible and reasonable is responsible and reasonable no matter WHAT party puts it out there. The Constitution says spending bills are to originate in the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES. Spending requires consent of the Senate and the signature of the President unless there is a sufficient congressional majority to override a veto.

The House does its job by being willing to negotiate on differences in priorities, amounts, policy etc. The Senate does NOT do its job by sending an unacceptable spending package to the House and saying if they don't rubber stamp it, anything that happens is on them.

The American people do not expect a bunch of Freedom Caucus crazies to run the House GOP.

McCarthy said no "Ukraine funding" although the majority of both parties support it.

That is not responsible governance.

I believe McCarthy said he would strip Ukraine funding from the defense appropriations bill and put it up for a standalone vote. Which probably won't pass but it could if you're right that a majority of both parties support it.

I don't see a thing wrong with that.
